Friends, hello to all. You are on the channel about Feeltime watches, with you as always Stanislav. And today I finally got to the Swiss watches Rado from the True collection.
The True collection is quite interesting. In fact, these are models in which Rado crossed Fashion and serious Swiss watches.
I don't know about you, but personally I am very skeptical about Fashion watches. Actually, that's why you don't see watches from brands in my videos, whose names I won't name, but which are assembled for $20 and sold for $300-400. And these brands make good money.
But with Rado it's a different story. When you take this watch in your hands, and in general see it on someone else's hand, it's immediately clear that it's some kind of Fashion, but an expensive one.
The Rado True models are made from the brand's proprietary plasma ceramic, and it really stands out. At the same time, Rado makes its own special, skeletonized dials, so just a couple of elements and you will always recognize these watches a mile away.
In general, I would like to say that Rado Centrix, Rado True, Rado True Squale, as it seems to me, have a clearly defined audience.
These are young, successful guys from 25 to 45 years old. That is, a certain type of people has formed who wear these watches. Successful, brutal, tattooed, in angry, tinted cars like Audi, BMW, Mercedes.
This is not something I came up with. It's just my observation. Because Rado True is always recognizable on the other hand.
And I remember only one recent time when I saw this watch on the hand of a man, well, a little over 50 years old and he was quite healthy, apparently a measured guy, but he did not fit the type that I described above.
The brand itself needs no introduction, so I think that’s enough of a teaser, and let’s look at the watches themselves.
The watch is actually very nice.
I would like to dispel all the myths about ceramics right away. Because for some reason I had this belief in my head that ceramics break like dishes.
In fact, the Rado brand claims that their plasma ceramic is a super-strong material that you would have to try very hard to damage.
That is, the brand, on the contrary, emphasizes that plasma ceramics are very reliable.
By the way, I personally talked to the sellers about cases with these watches. The only ones in many years.
Ceramics itself is certainly not for everyone. If you like the texture of metal, finishing and all that, then it is definitely not for you.
These watches are glossy. Such a monolithic, black, color of the case and bracelet. There are also white versions, by the way. To each his own.
That is, in general, I have nothing more to say about the case and bracelet. Everything is very convenient, comfortable, minimalistic.
Cool, flexible bracelet. Like silk. Butterfly clasp, hides the fastening mechanism. The inner part is made of titanium. Again, to make the watch as light as possible.
Dimensions
Diameter - 40 mm, from lug to lug - 46 mm, Thickness - 10.4 mm, weight - 118 grams.
On my thin hand is 18 cm. The girth fits perfectly. Plus, I will emphasize that many Rado True models are positioned as unisex. This one is no exception.
In terms of characteristics, in general for this style, sapphire with anti-reflective coating and water resistance - 50 meters are expected. You can wash your hands and not be afraid of rain.
But the inside is more interesting. This is the in-house caliber R734 with a huge power reserve of 80 hours.
You can admire the mechanism both through the watch back and through the skeletonized dial.
Let's take a look at the dial.
In fact, it's a beauty. The main plate is cut out very stylishly in black, matte color. The golden edging gives a chic contrast and gloss to the watch.
The mechanism itself shimmers beautifully. Expensive guilleche, gorgeous detailing.
In the right corner is the Rado logo, the signature rotating anchor.
At the bottom is the coveted inscription Swiss Made.
They also equipped the elegant hands and markers with Swiss Super Luminova. Very cool. You won't see this in cheap Fashion watches.
CONCLUSIONS
Well, let's start with the prices. At the end of August 2024, the price in my Feeltime online store in Ukraine is 111,860 UAH. At the exchange rate, this is approximately $2,700.
I think there is no point in discussing the price. Rado is an old Swiss brand with a strong history, reputation and established prices.
These watches are recognizable, they carry a certain status. Like car brands, like some clothing brands. That is, they say something about you. And it costs so much. You are either ready to pay for it or not.
I fully appreciate the value of these watches.
The quality of the watch is excellent. Ceramics are really very comfortable and convenient. There is definitely something in it.
As a non-Fashion fan, I can say that it's cool. And it's cool because, I repeat, here they crossed Fashion with adult characteristics and content of Swiss watches.
There is nothing more to add. And you can buy original Rado watches with an official 5-year warranty in Ukraine, which the brand so generously increased in 2023, in my Feeltime online store.
