German Circula watches

Remember how I recently told you how a German Circula watch worth almost $2,500 was stolen from me at customs?

Today I want to show you other models of the brand that have finally arrived.

Let me remind you that something was wrong with that package right away. Many boxes were damaged, 3 bracelets were stolen, one strap on the new model was mistakenly equipped with the wrong one by the manufacturer. And the most expensive Circula Facets disappeared without a trace.

And the manufacturer, for which I thank him, promptly sent me new boxes, sent me the bracelets that were missing, but forgot to put the original strap on the new Prosea.

What the hell is going on with this batch, I wondered for the second time, but everything is almost in order, so I'm ready to show you some great models from the Germans Circula.

Circula Protrail Green

And I suggest starting with the fundamental model of the Circula brand from the Protrail collection.

These are watches in a field style. What does this mean for us?

Simple, militarized design, possibly military colors, excellent readability and some security.

Let me remind you that the goal of field watches is to be simple, secure, and have good readability.

What I like about the Circula Protrail is that it truly meets all the criteria for a field watch, but despite the seemingly simple design, the watch is made quite complex.

The case is made of stainless steel and it is quite complex in details. There are a lot of transitions here, there are special, designer grooves with a rough texture in the center. And it all looks quite adult.

Plus about protection. The case has a sandblasted, matte finish and a hardness of 1200 on the Vickers scale. That is, it is harder to scratch than regular stainless steel, and the fact that it is matte is simply practical for activities, because field watches should not give off unnecessary glare and attract the attention of the enemy.

The back cover has a nice engraving of tactical terrain.

You can see that there is a quick belt replacement system.

The belt itself is made of top-quality textile, which is sewn with genuine leather on the inside. Quality and comfort at its best.

Plus, with all the Protrail models that I currently have, you will find a branded stainless steel bracelet, with the same sandblasted finish and a diver's clasp (clapper).

The watch itself comes in a large protective outer box, inside of which is a neat carrying case where the watch itself is located.

And in the lower hidden slot there is a place for documents, a bracelet, and tools for removing links. The tool itself is also included.

What else is nice about us?

150 meters of water resistance is a great mark for a field watch. The crown is screwed down and you can dive in the watch.

Sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating.

And on board is installed Swiss mechanics Sellita SW200 in the Elabore version. Elabore differs from the usual versions in that its error is much smaller. 7-15 seconds per day.

This mechanism operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, has a power reserve of 38 hours, and these models are also lubricated with good anti-magnetic properties up to 80,000 amps.

Here we should thank the Germans, because usually in watches for this price there is a regular version of the Sellita SW200 without anti-magnetism.

The dials look very cool.

As I said - nothing superfluous. The inner circle with a 24-hour scale. And the outer   with beautiful Arabic markings for the hours and a railway track for the minutes.

Colors, readability… Everything is top notch. Plus the very bright Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9

The watch is 40 mm in size. On my small hand, 18 cm. In volume, it fits just gorgeously.

Diameter - 40 mm, from eye to eye - 46 mm, Thickness - 12 mm, Weight without strap - 96 grams. The bracelet weighs 95 grams separately.

CONCLUSION

This watch currently costs UAH 60,725. And I would say that it is not expensive, considering the old brand, which is 70 years old today, considering that the watches are completely made in Germany, considering the successful design, security, equipment, and characteristics.

A nice, adult, non-hype watch, which personally makes me very happy.

Circula Prosea

For dessert, I left you with the brand's newest model, which was released just recently. This is the Circula watch from the Prosea diving collection.

And the design of this model pleasantly impresses me.

What's interesting is that if you look closely at the body, it becomes clear that it is very similar to the Protrail.

In essence, it is really the same case, but on the Protrail the bezel is a static part of the case, and here it is a diver's bezel. And the bezel is awesome in the truest sense.

Ceramic insert, beautiful color, comfortable grip, conveniently rotated counterclockwise 120 revolutions. No hint of backlash.

And you can basically see how replacing a certain part can change the perception of the watch.

In terms of characteristics and security, we have the same as Protrail.

Sandblasted housing with a hardness of 1200 on the Vickers scale.

Slightly higher water resistance of 200 meters, because this is still a diving model

Sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating.

Yes, on board is the same Swiss Sellita SW200 Elabore, but this model does not have anti-magnetic properties.

There's a super cool engraving of a stingray on the back cover. I was really pleased.

And if you look closely, you will see that the dial is also made in the texture of stingray skin.

It's very beautiful, and it looks very unusual.

The dial is actually beautiful. I fell in love with it. Honestly, just like the watch itself.

Wonderful, sea color, superimposed marks of an unusual and complex shape, which gives a chic volume. Readability at a height. Plus bright Swiss Super-LumiNova C3

By default, this model should come with a rubber strap, but the manufacturer mistakenly sent me a watch with a textile strap that is sewn inside with genuine leather.

The strap is great and I have the original stainless steel bracelet and the original rubber strap in the kit for you. The manufacturer sent it to me, you just have to wait. That is, with this watch there will be a full set.

Well, in terms of size, in principle, it is almost the same as the Protrail watch.

Diameter - 40 mm, from eye to eye - 46 mm, Thickness - 12.9 mm, Weight - 90 grams on the strap + about 95 grams if we put on a bracelet.

My hand is 18 cm. The watch fits perfectly.

Conclusion

The Circula Prosea costs UAH 65,175 and it is a truly luxurious watch.

I really liked the design, I liked the idea of how they played with the stingray on the back cover and the literal texture of its skin on the dial.

The watch looks very attractive, it is protected, it is well made, it has excellent characteristics, including the Swiss movement.

The watch is completely made in Germany. In this case, by mistake, but we also have an extended package with one strap, which we are waiting for, and an additional branded bracelet.

Conclusions

Well, what do I want to tell you?

Circula watches are pleasantly impressive. They are visually simple, but made with exquisite detail.

They have great features. Where the Swiss will put a simple Sellita SW200 for this price, the Germans will put an advanced Elabore, and they will also make it anti-magnetic.

Where the Swiss will have regular stainless steel, the Germans will have protected plating.

Such a nice, yet important attention to detail.

Classily equipped, additional bracelets provide space and maneuverability to visually change the watch.

Made in Germany. And I like that it's not a niche brand. That is, you are buying a cool, high-quality product that will probably only be yours. Because it will be difficult to find a duplicate.

What do you think?
