New Spinnaker Piccard and Croft

Friends, hello everyone. You are on the channel about Feeltime watches, Stanislav is with you as always, and today we will look at new arrivals from my store from the Spinnkaer microbrand.

One of the models is the Spinnaker Piccard, which today are no longer a novelty, but they were constantly taken apart and I still did not have the opportunity to order from the brand.

The second model is an absolutely fresh watch from the Croft SP-5095-44 collection, released in a limited edition of 600 watches in the world.  

Let's start with this model.

She has her own, unique box, which differs from the standard ones. On the sticker on the side you can immediately see the reference and serial number of the model.  

Inside we have the watch itself, instructions, a warranty card and a certificate, which also indicates the serial number of the watch.  

I can not say that the design itself boasts of novelty. Rather, Spinnaker beat the previous generation of skeletonized Crofts, which were also produced in a limited edition, but had a different color and went on a leather strap.  

Our model in a stainless steel case and bracelet with PVD gold coating.  

The finish is almost completely satin, there is a strip of mirror polishing at the junction of the side and upper surfaces of the case, which gives more visual volume.  

There is also a mirror finish on the back of the case. Here you can also see a transparent cover, through which we can admire the Japanese Seiko NH70 movement , which runs on 24 jewels and has a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.

In general , the finish of the case and bracelet for this price is at a very decent level.  

The bezel is completely made of stainless steel. Insert with black IP coating.  

Very tight and confident.  

Crown without protective laps. It is convenient to work with her.  

The dimensions are as follows:

Diameter - 40 mm, ear to ear - 47.5 mm, thickness - 14.6 mm, weight - 154 grams.

On my wrist 18 cm. In girth they sit like a glove.  

Bracelet for the money of excellent quality. Good geometry, comfortable fit. Cast inside, stamped outside.  

The dial looks quite brutal.

Despite the skeletonization, we can see good readability, as the hands and hour markers are clearly separated by color from the main part.  

Plus, a black second hand with a red tip is clearly highlighted.  

The dial is covered with a sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating.  

And of course, the Swiss Super Luminova as a backlight.  

The water resistance of the watch is 150 meters. A strange mark, but for some reason Spinnaker often uses it.

Well, let's move on to our monster Spinnaker Piccard.

The watch also comes in a different from standard boxes.  

They look very brutal and attract attention.

Firstly, with its not weak size, and secondly, with a huge lens on the glass.  

It’s hard to even imagine how thick the sapphire is here, but this is the first time I see this in a wristwatch.  

Although no, he lied. Right now in my store there is something similar from the Americans Invicta from the Lupah collection. There is also lenticular, convex glass.  

Of course, such a lens greatly affects the readability of the dial, creating a decent distortion.  

The dial itself is deeply seated. The main plate is blue, matte. There is a silver strip around the circumference, which indicates water resistance - these are extreme 550 meters and the presence of a helium valve to stabilize the pressure in the watch case.  

The hour markers and the Spinnaker logo are applied and add a nice dimension.  

The date on the black backing does not particularly stand out and does not distract attention.  

There is also a version with a black dial.  

True, to be honest, in some lighting it is quite difficult to distinguish their color.  

And of course the Swiss Super Luminova.

Stainless steel case and bracelet . Fully satin finish.  

As mentioned, there is a helium valve on the side of the case.  

The crown is very massive, engraved with the brand name. She is comfortable to operate.  

Stainless steel bezel with brushed insert. For 120 clicks. The grip is comfortable, the move is confident. No loopholes.  

On the back of the watch there is an expensive and deep engraving of some kind of underwater vehicle in the style of our diving model.  

The bracelet is very brutal. Massive links. Fully cast. Clasp with double fixation. Cast inside, stamped outside.  

Among the shortcomings, I note that both the case from below and the edges of the bracelet are cut a little. Handling could have been better.  

The dimensions are as follows:

Diameter - 45 mm, ear to ear - 52.7 mm, thickness - 21 mm, weight - 252 grams.  

Real monster. Fits well on my hand 18 cm. In girth. In principle, the bracelet immediately goes down and even sits well on my small hand, but it will be better on a larger wrist.  

Of the unnamed characteristics, only the Japanese movement Seiko NH35A was not announced. It's a classic and a workhorse for a micro-brand at this price point.

Results

The price of the first limit for today is 19760 UAH, Piccard is more expensive - 21850 UAH.  

As a result, as always, I will say that a micro-brand, and in this case Spinnaker, always offers more than it actually costs.  

Here you have your own unique design, and the excellent quality of the watch in general, quite adult characteristics.

It will be problematic to meet something similar with popular brands at this price today.
