According to Maurice Lacroix themselves, watches from the Pontos series are a classic chronograph with a rather daring design. The watches look more sophisticated than the models from the brand's most popular Icon collection, somewhat similar to the models from the most premium Masterpiece collection, but a little simpler.
Today there are 3 variants of this model in Ukraine, each of which you can buy both in our Feeltime online store and in the network of our partners, the largest watch chain in Ukraine - Deka store.

Watch sizes
Let's start with size. This is a fairly large watch, on the official website of Maurice Lacroix, the diameter is 43 mm, but my tool shows 42 mm with a penny. From ear to ear here is 51.5 mm, thickness - 14.5 mm, weight - 188 grams.
I want to note that only the diameter of the case is indicated on the official website, and it’s strange to me when a watch for $ 3400 does not describe in detail all the characteristics. After all, the same thickness and weight are important to many.

On my wrist 18 cm. In the girth, the watch sits well, but a more massive hand suggests itself. And on a smaller wrist, the watch will definitely not be appropriate.
Watch features
The case at first glance may seem quite simple, but when you examine it in detail, it becomes clear that this is an expensive watch.
Let's start with the fact that there is a chic quality finish. If you look from the side of the case to the edge with mirror polishing, then here, without exaggeration, you can shave it like a small mirror.
The quality of the satin is also excellent.
And of course it is important to pay attention to details. And here these are complex transitions with thin stripes of mirror polishing. This is not visible from a distance, but it is visible when you examine the watch in detail up close. It is these details that indicate the jewelry quality of the watch.
Even if you look at the buttons, it immediately seems that they seem to be simple, but in fact their geometry is very complex, and the combination of polishing is not simple.
The same with the crown. Very unusual swirls, a matte, sandblasted core, and a mirror polished logo engraving. That is, on such a small element there are three coating options at once.
What I didn't really like was the sound of the winding crown. Some kind of squeaky and unpleasant sound.
Bracelet quality
I have a question about the bracelet. Purely in terms of the quality of the finish, it is gorgeous. At first glance, it may seem that it is completely satin, but if you look closely, there are thin stripes of mirror polishing on the side faces of the links. These are again the little things from which expensive watches are assembled.
But what I did not like is the geometry of the bracelet. The links bend far from smoothly, and there is some kind of light creaking sound when I try to check this geometry.
Butterfly clasp. Hides the fastening mechanism. On the outside there is a neat engraving of the Maurice Lacroix brand. The interior is fully cast, with high-quality mirror polishing and Geneva waves patterns. I liked the quality of the clasp, and in itself is very comfortable.
Mechanism
The back cover of the watch is quite plump and with screws. Through the transparent glass we can see the work of our own movement ML112, which is based on the Swiss movement Valjoux 7750.
The mechanism runs on 25 jewels, with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
Unfortunately, the detailed characteristics of the mechanism are not indicated on the official website, therefore, in terms of power reserve, I can only focus on the base Walge 7750 - this is 44 hours.
In general, of course, it is a little annoying that the Swiss in watches for such a price cannot normally indicate the characteristics.
Other characteristics
The watch has a sapphire crystal, which again is not indicated on the official website.
Water resistance at the level of 100 meters. This is an absolutely normal indicator for a casual watch, plus it's nice that the crown is screwed here for better tightness of the case.
Clock face
This is definitely the cherry on the clock.
Expensive, blue with silver markers, hands and chronograph ring trim.
Due to this contrast of colors, readability is perfect here, even despite the presence of a chronograph.
All silver elements are radiated, that is, they are not subject to corrosion.
Separately, I want to highlight the cool font of the Arabic clock marks, which are also quite high and create a pleasant volume.
On the hour, minute, and tip of the second hand there is a luminescent material that accumulates energy and glows in the dark.
Results
The price of this watch in our Feeltime and Deca stores today is 138140 UAH for the version with metal bracelets, and 133060 UAH for the version with a leather strap.
Hours are inconsistent. They have both their pros and cons. Of the pluses, I note the expensive dial and the chic quality of the case and bracelet, plus a very reliable and time-tested Swiss movement.
By cons, perhaps for someone a large thickness of 14.5 mm and a weight of 188 grams will go. Although, again, for some it will be a plus.
And here the geometry of the bracelet is far from ideal, which does not affect the appearance of the watch and the comfort of wearing it, but of course it is always nice to realize that your watch is perfect in all aspects. It doesn't exist here.
Plus a fairly large number of competitors in this price segment. These are the same Longines "Hydroconquest", this is Rado "Captain Cook". In fact, there are many competitors, you can tell yourself in the comments.
On the other hand, this is a great option for a man with a serious position. For a top manager, for a banker or an office worker in a high position.
And if you like the watch outwardly, then you will perfectly emphasize your status in this area with them.
And speaking of competition, it is obvious that we do not always choose the best price-quality option. Sometimes you just like a watch even with all its shortcomings. This is fine.
