This is a watch from a separate branch of G-Shock, which Casio called Mudmaster.
The review will be the top and newest model for today gwg2000
and older generation with reference GG-B100-1A3ER.
The difference in the price of watches is almost 2 times, so let's figure out why there is such an overpayment and is it worth it.
What is the difference between these watches?
In fact, purely by the first visual contact, you can determine which watch is more charged and expensive.
The new two-thousanders have a more complex design, steel elements, which gives the watch an expensive look.
The old model also looks pretty decent, but still they have a more plastic appearance, so they are more closer to the classic G-Shock models. Although, whatever one may say, this is definitely not a simple G-Shock and on the windows of Casio watches - these watches will always catch your eye
As you can see, the diameter of the 2-thousandths is slightly larger, but the thickness, on the contrary, has decreased somewhat, which can be considered a plus.

This model is slightly smaller in diameter, but noticeably thicker, but slightly lighter.

Let's take a look at each model individually. Let's start with a simpler version.
I want to say that the Mudmaster collection speaks for itself with its name. This is a dirt-resistant watch that is not afraid of shock, not afraid of water, not afraid of vibration. And the design of these models directly says that this watch can handle everything.

The watch case is made of polymer. On the bezel we have carbon fiber, which is covered with a transparent polymer on top. 4 protective covers are screwed on top of the bezel.
So the design is so reliable that the mineral glass under it is almost impossible to get.
2 buttons on the left side and 3 on the right. The central one is responsible for synchronization with your smartphone via Bluetooth. In the Casio branded application, you can make the watch settings as conveniently and in detail as possible.
At the bottom of the case is a button that turns on the electric backlight.
The strap is polymer, marsh color. It goes well with the color of the case and visually literally passes through the back of the watch.
In fact, there is also a stainless steel cover under the rubberized pad. So everything is in order with the protection there.
Plus, on the back cover you can see the inscription Carbon Core Guard - this is the protection of the mechanism, which envelops the carbon fibers and softens any blows.

This model has a so-called quad sensor, the functionality of which includes a barometer, altimeter, temperature sensor, compass and even a pedometer.
Switch functions with the lower left button. Any of them can be temporarily removed in the application on the smartphone, so as not to switch again.
With the top left button, we can switch time display formats.
The top right starts the compass.
Bottom right - altimeter.
Other characteristics
The water resistance of this watch is 200 meters. Mineral glass, and I want to say that a regular battery is installed here, which on average lasts about 2 years. Many people consider this a disadvantage, I don’t see a problem in going to the master every few years and paying 200 UAH for a replacement.
Looking in detail at the Casio G-Shock Mudmaster GWG-2000-1A3ER
Here, of course, without exaggeration, the design looks significantly more expensive than the previous model. Better detailing, more gloss is given by the stainless steel bezel, the buttons themselves are better worked out, and tactilely more pleasant.
This model has pronounced carbon inserts.
Again, 2 buttons on the left side, 3 on the right (the middle of which is screwed) and a button on the bottom of the case starts the electric backlight.
Resin strap. In terms of tactile sensations, it is the same as in the previous model, but more saturated color, better detailing and the clasp definitely looks more expensive.
Watch case back in stainless steel. Again, you can see the Carbone Core Guard, that is, the mechanism inside is additionally protected.
The watch has a triple sensor. There is a barometer, altimeter, temperature sensor and compass.
Switching occurs similarly to the previous model. Bottom-left button. And here, each switch will be displayed by a yellow arrow on the dial, which looks like a Christmas tree.
We again have: barometer, temperature, altimeter recording, stopwatch, countdown timer that can be adjusted using the head, 5 alarm clocks, world time and radio control.
Yes, there is no bluetooth in this watch, but there is a radio control that allows the watch to synchronize with 1 of the 6 towers in the world and get the most accurate time.
I want to note that the dial of this watch looks noticeably more modern than these watches. And the LCD display is clearly clearer. The difference is not small.
With the top left button, we can again switch the time display formats.

Bottom right - Altimeter.
What else will please the model? There is the so-called tought mvt technology (signed on the dial). In simple words, with this technology, the hands will never deviate from their ideal positions. For example, you can see that the second hand is clearly calibrated and points to its division. This is how it should always be.
Well, the watch also runs on a solar battery, so the issue with the battery is completely closed here.
Water resistance is also 200 meters, but here it is no longer mineral, but sapphire crystal, which, thanks to the design, is still difficult to get close to.
Comparison results
The price of the first model is 23450 UAH, the price of the flagship is 47040 UAH. As I said - the difference is 2 times.
So this difference is due to the fact that 2 thousandths look noticeably more expensive, have more expensive materials, a significantly better display, a solar battery, radio control, sapphire crystal, and a taf movement function.
This is a sufficient number of arguments for which you can overpay without remorse.
If you just need a high-quality, well-protected watch with almost all the same functionality, then the first model is also a great option.
