Friends, hello everyone. You are on a channel about Feeltime watches. Stanislav is with you, as always, and today we will look at the limited-edition Great Wall product from the microbrand Phoibos.
This model was first released somewhere in 2019. At that time, I had just started working with the Foibos brand, I did not yet have such faith in the brand, and I was honestly afraid to order models from an unknown brand for $500.
At that time it was the most expensive model of the brand. And, by the way, it was quickly dismantled around the world. The release was, if I'm not mistaken, around 500 pieces for each color.
As you already understand, the Great Wall collection is dedicated to the Great Wall of China. During the review, you will see that this is not just the name of the collection. The wall elements are actually present in the clock itself.
This model was initially produced in a circulation of 100 copies, and then Phoibos cheated a little and expanded the circulation to 800 pieces. I'll talk about this a little later.
The new product is available in 4 colors. I managed to deliver each in small quantities to my Feeltime online store. Let me remind you that I am the exclusive distributor of the Phoibos brand in Ukraine.
Each model comes with an additional strap made of genuine leather; rubber is installed by default.
While preparing the review, the first thing I did was put them on my hand. On my arm 18 cm. The girth fits like a glove.
Very comfortable rubber strap. It’s nice that it is branded on the inside, there are grooves so that your hand sweats less, and of course the buckle is very powerful.
When I say that microbrand is different from microbrand, this watch absolutely confirms it. Phoibos have long gone away from homing and have their own, clearly defined face. This is what distinguishes a serious microbrand for me from those that are stuck at the stage of cheap homing.
The design of the watch is truly unique. The watch immediately arouses interest, and I am sure you will constantly be asked the question: “Oh, what kind of watch is this?”
Stainless steel housing. Fully satin. Very interesting shapes of the ears and the transition from the side to the top surface. They did it completely outside the box. Usually at these transitions it is now fashionable to make stripes of mirror polishing, but here, on the contrary, it looks like cutouts with a matte finish.
The head is very massive, with brand engraving and protective beads that resemble the arches of towers.
If you look closely at the bezel, you will see that its edges are made in the form of towers of the Great Wall of China. The insert on the bezel is made of stainless steel with decorative circles of mirror polishing, which adds external volume.
The grip of the bezel is super comfortable, as is the movement. Really tactilely expensive rotation with expensive clicks. No backlash.
The watch back is engraved with the Great Wall of China. Well, Phoibos knows how to please with these engravings. Not every brand makes such goodies at this price.

This is a sapphire crystal with multi-layer anti-reflective glass. The sapphire is slightly convex.
It is water resistant - 300 meters (the head is screwed down for a better seal)
Japanese mechanical self-winding Citizen with Miyota caliber 9015, which microbrands usually put in their expensive models.
And the small numbers indicate the limited model number of the available 800.
I would like to note that Phoibos initially announced 200 of them. And then I see that something is wrong. Apparently sales started and the guys released more. But they made an amendment that the first batch was still numbered up to 100 pieces, and the second was already up to 800.
Let's go through the dimensions and move on to the dial.
Diameter - 42 mm, from lug to lug - 47 mm, thickness - 14 mm, weight - 118 grams.
The dial looks very beautiful and unusual.
The base plate is satin-finished. The shields at the 3, 9 and 12 o'clock positions immediately stand out.
Minute markings on a black background under the slope along the edge of the dial.
The hour and minute hands are highlighted in bold black, and the seconds hand is blue in the shape of a spear.
The date at 6 o'clock is on an orange background, so as not to stand out from the overall scheme of the dial.
Readability is 5 with two pluses. Plus 15 layers of Swiss Super Luminova.

Firstly, a very unusual and unlike anything design, worked out in detail. They didn’t just call it a big name, but sprinkled elements of the Great Wall of China into the model itself.
Secondly, these are excellent characteristics.

It was a real pleasure for me to review this model. There is no need to somehow smooth out the corners and so on. You take the watch in your hands and understand - it’s gorgeous, period.
