Hello everyone, you are on the Feeltime watch channel, my name is Stanislav, and today we are looking at the American microbrand Ocean Crawler.

I've shown you these guys more than once, told you that they've been around since 2017, that they make watches in Rochester (New York), they make them cool, they make them custom, they make them in limited editions.

In a nutshell - watches for those who don't want to follow the pop-culture path like Tissot , Certina and other Swiss watches of this class, because the Ocean Crawler is somewhere on this level in terms of price.

And why aren't they worth as much as the haters would like? Let's take a look together.

Well, first of all, I want to say that the Ocean Crawler doesn't look like a usual watch.

Let's at least take a look at this limited edition beauty, the Ocean Crawler "Piranha."

The dial of the model is made on an enamel-ceramic coating. Its center is a predator: "Piranha". It is made simply TOP. It looks very voluminous, rich, to some extent shocking.

It's obvious that when you have a watch like this on your wrist, it attracts attention. People who like to create their own style, not following trends, will be able to fully appreciate such beauty.

We tried to make the readability normal in terms of art, but it turned out as good as possible. 4 hour markers, and expressive hands. That is, you have to navigate natively by minutes and seconds.

But you need to understand that a watch is not about readability.

The model's case is quite large, made of 316l stainless steel.

Again, the case has quite simple shapes, and puts all the emphasis on the dial. But the quality of the finish here is simply top-notch. Excellent satin finish.

A very convenient head that screws into the case for better tightness, and we have extreme water resistance of 600 meters, which is reinforced with a helium valve on the back. It is needed to stabilize the pressure in the case during sudden changes in water. So that the glass does not break.

And the glass here is extremely thick. It's sapphire - 4.5 mm. This is a very serious indicator. There is an anti-reflective coating.

The bezel looks like it's decorative, but no, it works 120 revolutions counterclockwise. Very comfortable grip. Made with high quality. And, by the way, it has serifs on it, which if desired can be oriented as a minute scale. Not very convenient, but what's the point considering that the dial was not overloaded with anything unnecessary.

On board the Ocean Crawler "Piranha" is installed a Swiss automatic Sellita SW200 with a power reserve of 38 hours, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.

This is a very popular and expected mechanism in watches of this class. Plus, the declared shock resistance is a nice bonus. And for mechanics, this is a really nice bonus.

The watch comes with a strap made of exotic stingray leather. You won't confuse this leather with anything else if you've ever seen it. It's made beautifully.

But our watch is still a diver's watch, so as a very nice bonus in the kit you will find an orange rubber strap with an expensive "clapper" clasp.

And I'm telling you, this isn't just some belt that was thrown in as a bonus. It's actually made to a very high standard, it smells nice, and the clasp is actually quite grown-up.

The watch is generally delivered in a wooden gift box, which contains the watch itself, a strap, a metal card (warranty card), and a booklet with the model range. Very solid and pleasant.

It fits my hand well, but of course, at this size, it will open better on a larger hand.

But still bright.

The second model I want to show you is called the Ocean Crawler "The Last Diver".

And what do we see here?

And we see an image of a diver in the mouth of a giant shark, Megalodon, which is now considered extinct.

All of this is done on an enamel ceramic coating. Again, it's very voluminous, but it attracts attention.

Actually, I want to say that the drawings are very magnetic. You immediately pick up the watch and don't rush to put it on your hand. You want to look at the details.

If you don't like too much attention, they will definitely play a bad joke on you.

In everything else, it's essentially the same watch in terms of foundation that we looked at in the "Piranha" version.

This is a great quality case finish. It has an exotic stingray leather strap and additional premium quality rubber.

This is 600 meters of water resistance, It is a sapphire with an extreme thickness of 4.5 mm, it has a Sellita SW200 Swiss mechanical movement on board.

But it's a limited edition of 500 pieces worldwide. I only have one and all the others from the manufacturer were already sold before they got to me. That's how it is.

Well, let's take a look at the latest model from the Crawler One collection.

It only arrived today in the transparent sea wave color, but I also ordered it in the starry sky version, so it should arrive soon.

Well, first of all, I want to note that the brand is starting to listen to its customers and make the cases smaller, because Americans like everything very big.

The diameter of this model is 41 mm, which is quite good for a small wrist like mine.

Let's measure it right away.

They fit perfectly.

I like the design, and in general, I respect microbrands that have their own face.

What do you hear about microbrands that were stupidly engaged in hoarding? 2 years ago, under each of my videos they wrote San Martin - San Martin, I haven't heard from you guys for a long time.

Because people now want something individual, or a Rolex, not a cheap copy of it.

The case is made of 316L stainless steel with a DLC black coating, which is comparable in strength to diamond. This means that this watch is a little harder to scratch than regular stainless steel.

It comes with a Kevlar strap. It's a pretty strong material. On the inside, we have genuine leather.

Plus, as is classic, every Ocean Crawler watch always comes with a bonus strap. In this case, it's a strap made of natural artificially aged leather. The quality is great.

And they are again very similar to those we saw in the predecessors.

On board is the Swiss Sellita SW200 mechanism. Sapphire glass, but a little thinner - 3.5 mm thick. Swiss Super Luminova works great in the dark, and extreme water resistance - 600 meters. There is a helium valve here. Plus, shock resistance is claimed.

Beautiful, soft wave color. Everything here with the markup is already at the highest level. Very easy to read.

Overlaid markers, expressive hands. Beautiful, overlaid brand logo. Date at 6 o'clock. Neat. Not annoying. It says that the watch was made in Rochester, New York.

It's obvious that the Ocean Crawler brand is not for everyone and is most likely not the first watch in your collection, because you can see for yourself that the style is quite outrageous and won't suit everyone.

The price is at the level of average Swiss watches. It is made better in some ways, but there is something here that no Swiss watch will give you for such a budget:

The features are at their peak. I don't know what else you can give for this price.

But, it seems to me, the Ocean Crawler brand doesn't really look back at the mass market. The guys are slowly making exclusive models in small runs, quickly selling them all and releasing new ones. And so on in a circle. That is, the cycle of one model is very short. This is called exclusivity.
