Atlantic
Swiss Atlantic watches with quartz and mechanical movements officially appeared in 1953, but in fact their history began much earlier.
Why Atlantic?
Atlantic was founded by a man for whom technology and impeccability even in the smallest details are extremely important. Despite the quite affordable price, the watch is comfortable, stylish, reliable and of high quality. In addition to sports accessories, the lineup includes classic ones, but Atlantic is still considered a brand for athletes and travelers, the travelers' watch. Its products are most in demand among those associated with the sea: sailors, surfers, yachtsmen, etc. The company's employees own many inventions, for example, a titanium case with a high level of water resistance, and the Speed-Switch mechanism.
History of brand development
In 1888, the Swiss Eduard Kummer founded the company EKB (Eduard Kummer Bettlach), which manufactured spare parts for such large manufacturers as Longines, Certina and others. In 1928, Edward decided to release his own Ariston, Aristex and Opus watches. In 1930, the first waterproof Atlantic model was born.
The watch company EKB turned into ATLANTIC Watch Ltd only in 1953. And from that moment on, its work was aimed at producing accessories of the same name. Quite quickly, the brand conquered many countries around the world. This year Atlantic celebrates its 135th birthday.
