Orient Star is not a collection of Orient, but a trademark of a Japanese brand with its own logo and approach to production. The first Orient Star watches appeared in 1951, they quickly gained popularity and brought the company to the top three watch manufacturers in Japan. For a long time, "star" products were sold mainly in Japanese stores, about 1% of produced accessories got to other countries.
Like most other products designed for the domestic market, Orient Star are made to special quality standards, of course, this affects their price. All watches are assembled by hand under strict control.
Do not confuse accessories Orient "3 stars" and Orient Star. The first is one of the brand's collections, the second is a separate trademark.
The lineup
There are three main lines of Orient Star watches:

- Contemporary: contemporary accessories for everyday use. The line includes standard products, skeletons and Open Heart.
- Sports: Watches for fans of an active lifestyle are divided into two groups: highly waterproof (for swimming) and diving.
Functional
The Star models are equipped with the Automatic mechanism - a self-winding mechanic. All mechanisms are manufactory (own production). The progress indicator helps to understand after what time the watch will stop. The manufacturer offers options with different levels of water protection: from 50 to 200 m.
The body is made of stainless steel. It is a hypoallergenic material that is resistant to damage and chemicals. The dial is protected by a durable sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The watch has either a steel bracelet or a leather strap.
