The U-Boat Darkmoon collection, inspired by the dark side of the moon, is unique. Italo Fontana, the brand's owner, studies colors and their impact on human mood, so the collection features models with a variety of dials: brown, black, blue, red, and green.
Oil Immersion technology—filling the dial with a special low-viscosity oil—creates a unique visual effect: colors appear incredibly deep and saturated, while the markers and hands are exceptionally clear and seemingly floating. The domed lens, combined with the oil immersion, creates the illusion of a glassless dial, allowing the dial to be read from any angle. The compensating air bubble floating beneath the glass creates a mesmerizing effect.

U-Boat watches originate in Italy. The trademark was registered in 2000, but the first models were based on 1942 designs created by Ivo Fontana, the grandfather of the current company owner. The Italian brand's products became available in Ukraine around 2008-2009.
The manufacturer is renowned for its large accessory cases, rugged design, and unconventional solutions. U-Boat uses a variety of materials for its products: from standard stainless steel to tungsten and untreated bronze, rare in the watch industry. The movements are Swiss-made – quartz and mechanical. The large crown is located on the left.

The Darkmoon collection consists of three series:

- Black PVD (black steel): The matte black case looks incredibly stylish and underlines the essence of the Darkmoon line. One of the best examples of this is the BK Black Curved PVD 9545.
