And the legend says that in 1959 the Soviet government ordered 100 watches from Invicta for military submariners. The order was completed, but Invicta made a mistake and wrote "IMF" instead of "VMF" (Navy). This inscription "IMF USSR" flaunts to this day on almost all Russian Diver watches. Interesting? So, our watch is designed strictly for a massive wrist. Still, the case diameter is 52 mm. The case itself is made of stainless steel with gilding. It is paired with a polyurethane strap with beautiful, cylindrical inserts on each side of the strap. On the back cover there is an engraving of the same "IMF of the USSR".
Very beautiful dial in the sun. Excellent readability. Large arrows and marks. Nothing extra. The dial is covered with Flame Fusion shock-resistant glass, which Invicta makes using a patented technology. Plus, the glass is seated below the welt, so hitting it with a wide object will be problematic.
