Hello everyone, you are on the Feeltime watch channel, my name is Stanislav and today will be, one might say, the second part of the review of watches from the American microbrand Ocean Crawler.
The first batch recently arrived at my store, which I have already reviewed and can be viewed at the link that will now appear in the right corner of your screen, and today there will be the second part.
And we will have only Turtles on display. Iconic shape, individual execution from the Ocean Crawler brand. Watches with chic quality and characteristics. Let's figure it out.
Ocean Crawler Core Diver
So, the turtle-shaped models from the Ocean Crawler brand belong to the Core Diver collection.
This is a professional, diving model with a hell of a water resistance of 600 meters.
Of course, the crown screws down for better tightness, and there is a helium valve on the side of the case to stabilize the pressure in the watch case. This is necessary so that when the diver suddenly starts to surface, the strong pressure does not break the glass.
By the way, the watches are equipped with thick sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating. The thickness of the glass is 4 mm.
Well, we've started a little on the characteristics, let's turn to the design.
Essentially, as I said, this is the classic form of the iconic turtle. But Americans are still big fans, so the turtle wasn't quite small.
Case diameter - 44 mm, lug to lug - 50 mm, Thickness - 15.6 mm.
On my hand it is 18 cm. The watch feels a bit too big in size. I would recommend it for a larger hand.
What I like about these watches is their color schemes. Ocean Crawler knows how to make them really bright and individual.
This model, for example, uses a soft blue color, which is dedicated to the blue shark. It looks bright and summery.
And this model has a beautiful contrast between the black 316l stainless steel case and the orange dial.
By the way, orange is the most readable color underwater.
And this version of the watch also has an exotic bezel with a carbon insert.
The other two models have a bezel with a sapphire overlay. Speaking of the bezel, let's give it a spin. Excellent grip, clear and confident movement. I definitely like the sound. The bezel is adult.
Let's go back to the dials.
In this version, the dial is made of ultra-black acrylic, which absorbs up to 99.4% of light. True full black.
In general, I want to say that the dials are gorgeous. They are voluminous, well-made, and perfectly readable.
Plus, each is decorated with Swiss Super Luminova C3, which stores energy and glows brightly in the dark.
You've already seen cases made of plain stainless steel and versions in black with DLC coating. This coating is comparable in strength to diamond. It's harder to scratch.
The build quality of the Ocean Crawler is quite high.
The back covers of the watches are decorated with a deep and pleasant engraving of the Kraken and Poseidon's bat.
Let me remind you that the brand has models with a total pattern on the ceramic-enamel coating. We just looked at this model in the last review.
Each model is produced in a small limited edition. 100 watches in the world. In Ukraine, only one at the moment.
The watch straps are a super brutal Milanese weave with a grown-up, diver's clasp with a diver's extension.
But you will also be pleased with the expensive packaging of the watch with additional straps.
Two versions will feature straps made of exotic stingray leather.
The pure black version comes with a premium rubber strap.
Ocean Crawler really knows how to package in a way that makes you really happy with the package.
What else do we have?
Each model is equipped with a Swiss automatic Sellita SW200-1 with a power reserve of 40 hours. The frequency is 28,800 vibrations per hour.
A mechanism proven over the years, which is also used in Swiss watches up to $3,000.
Each Ocean Crawler watch is made in the small town of Rochester, New York.
Conclusion
These beauties cost 44,000 UAH today.
And from my experience, it is absolutely affordable for such a presentation, quality, equipment and characteristics.
I've said more than once that the brand is really very positive, charismatic, and makes some incredible watches for those who are already fed up with the usual Casual models.
