The watch that caused a storm of negativity. After all, for some reason many people believe that NTH, with a price of about $800, is no different from microbrands costing $300.
A lot of things go through me. And microbrands, and Swiss, and Japanese brands. And I can safely say that NTH is different from watches in the $300-500 segment.
Moreover, if you don’t delve into the details, then you may not notice much of a difference. But it is in the details that it lies.
Today we will look at 2 variations of the same model. One with a classic bracelet and the other with a grain of rice bracelet.
Each NTH model comes in an individually designed box. What's on the wrapper will be on the inside.
A very nice travel case. With each clock there are additional links. In my memory, NTH is the first to have bonus links with the clock.
When creating the NTH brand, owner Chris Vale wanted to make an impeccable watch in the retro diving style of the last century.
Many people often write in the comments that there is nothing special about this watch, there is no design.
In fact, this is the most classic, everyday diver. The goal here was not to do something out of the ordinary.
If you look at many micro-brands and many Swiss brands, you will see the same thing. There is a popular look that everyone does differently.
Look at the same cars. Some forms and nuances appear that people like, and other brands begin to sharpen them in their own way, but maintaining the basics. It's exactly the same with watches.
I am extremely pleased to hold and admire this watch.
On the one hand, they are simple, on the other hand, you look at how it all looks and it pleases the eye. It’s just clear that this is an expensively made watch.
316l stainless steel housings. The quality of finishing is at the top level. Here, the geometry of the body and the finishing are such that you won’t always see such quality from the Swiss at 2 times the price.
The finish on this watch is one of those WOW moments.
Head with protective beads. Very comfortable. Extremely easy and soft to screw on. This is already one of the pleasant nuances.

Oh guys, how many times have I read that this is all a hoax on my part, that in fact the brand is simply saving money on ceramics.
In fact, a ceramic insert is not expensive. Buy one that is the right size and place it on this watch. You will see for yourself that the design will not go for the better.
There were no ceramic bezels in the 20th century. The clock looked different. And the task of the NTH brand was to recreate this style.
The bezel itself has a very comfortable grip and is of one of the best quality that I have used recently.
Very confident ride, the stroke feels perfect. And the clicks are extremely pleasant.
Well, it’s good that NTH watches have almost identical bezels. Often in more affordable microbrands in the same model one bezel rotates one at a time, in the same model, but in another copy it may already rotate with a different character.
The watch sizes are as follows
40 mm - diameter, from lug to lug - 48 mm, thickness - 13 mm, weight - 153 grams on a full bracelet.
On my hand it is 18 cm. The girth fits well, but I feel it would be better on a larger wrist. It seems that the size is only 40 mm, but I really see this watch on a large hand.
The watch bracelets are of very high quality.
I just worked with a photographer today with this watch and it’s a pleasure. If you’re in the know, then you know what it’s like to lay out a cool bracelet on a flat surface.
It literally flows and the shape is beautiful. In medium bracelets, something will definitely bulge and need to be repaired.
Fully cast bracelet. The quality of the finish matches the quality of the finish of the case, which is very important. Bracelet with screws.
The version with rice grains has more gloss and shine due to the texture and mirror polishing. Purely visually, this makes the watch look more expensive. And their price is higher.
The clasp is great. Fully cast. The tongue is well adjusted so that your nails remain intact.

Let's go through the specifications and move on to the watch faces.
The model is called Barracuda, and for good reason. Water protection - 300 meters. Tested individually by NTH brand. The watch can be used for diving.
Thick sapphire with anti-reflective coating.
On board is an expensive Japanese movement Citizen Miyota 9015, which the brand independently calibrates, thereby obtaining a daily error of 10-15 seconds. Instead of the standard 20-40 seconds per day.

If I can convey with my camera what I see with my own eyes on the dial, then you will understand everything yourself.
On the one hand, it’s simple, on the other hand, look how harmoniously and beautifully it’s done.
Gold-tone edging on hands, hour markers and NTH logo. I don't like the gold color, but here it's really beautiful and gives a cool contrast.
The invoice was nicely placed, the lacquered logo of the Baracuda collection was placed at the 6 o’clock position, instead of which they carefully inserted the date on a black background so that it would not draw much attention to itself.
And of course, high-quality and bright Swiss Super Luminova.
Here is an example of how it can be simple and very tasty.
This watch is basically an example of expensive and well-prepared simplicity.
They will not surprise you with their appearance. This is a classic, casual retro diver with a last century feel.
But the way this watch is made is an example of watches being created with attention to detail.
