Friends, hello everyone. You are on the channel about Feeltime watches, Stanislav is with you as always, and today we will look at a new product from the Spinnaker brand from the Hass collection.
Although, I would rather call these new versions of colors, since these models first appeared about 2 years ago and since then the brand has just been playing with color variations.
The Spinnaker Hass watch is dedicated to the famous Austrian sea explorer, biologist and diver - Hans Hass.
I looked it up on Wikipedia and was surprised. The man lived 94 years. Apparently a happy life.
What Wikipedia says is that he did his favorite thing until the end of his life. By the way, as far as I notice, this is one of the important factors that a person does not fade away even in adulthood.
I have enough examples of people retiring and fading away literally in a short period of time.
Okay, let's talk about the watch itself.
I want to say right away that with this model Spinnaker was generous with the instructions. Usually it is only available with limited models or with watches in some kind of gift boxes.
Standard Spinnaker boxes are usually empty, but this model comes in a standard box.
2 colors arrived at my store. Black and yellow version. I will look at the yellow watch in detail.
I inspect the watch, and it seems to me that the quality, purely visually, has not changed in 2 years since the first moment the model was released.
The only thing I don’t remember is whether, for example, the case and bracelet were sharpened in the first versions. The processing here is well done. The edges are smooth.
I also remember that one client spoke about the fact that the bezel zero mark did not fit perfectly into the division. I sit and look carefully, in my opinion everything is smooth. Although, if you look at some angles, it already begins to seem that there is a displacement.
In general, I learned the following for myself: it’s better not to bother with such things, otherwise you can fray all your nerves. I recently bought myself a not at all cheap Hamilton and their chronograph hand does not hit zero. I looked at it and thought: “Well, okay, it’s not a big deal.”
In terms of design, the watch is a diver's watch in its purest form. Fat, large body with a washer shape.
The dimensions here are as follows:
Diameter - 43 mm, from lug to lug - 51 mm, thickness - 15.3 mm, weight - 198 grams.
The watch is heavy and massive. But you know, I would say that nevertheless they would probably fit the average wrist better. On my small hand 18 cm. The girth fits perfectly.
316l stainless steel case and bracelet. I see mirror polishing only at the transition of the lugs for more volume.
The quality of the finish itself is good, but not outstanding. In general, I like the longitudinal satin finish better. This kind, in my opinion, is rougher. But there will be minimal scratches. This is definitely a plus.
I like the head without protective beads and how contrastingly the letter N is placed on it - part of the word Spinnaker.
Bezel 120 clicks counterclockwise. This is ceramics. Simply painted with black PVD coating. It won't wash off, don't worry. Unless, of course, you scratch it on the asphalt, otherwise you’ll be foolish, as they say...
There are 2 scales on the bezel. The first is a standard bezel feature. You place the zero mark opposite the minute hand and note the required amount of time up to 60 minutes.
The second scale labeled Countdown is a countdown scale. The principle of operation is the same, only count from 60 minutes in reverse order.
It's a cool thing. I have seen such a bezel only once and only on this model.
The grip itself, the clicks and movement of the bezel are pleasant. I don't feel any backlash here. If I'm not mistaken, there were some micro-plays in the first versions. But I'm not sure.
On the back cover of the watch there is not a deep engraving of the brand, again the letters N and the characteristics are written out.
This is a sapphire crystal with anti-reflection, water resistance - 300 meters. The head is screwed down here for better tightness.
And on board is a rather rare for today Japanese mechanical Seiko NH16. 21 stones, operates at a frequency of 21600 vibrations per hour. There is a date and days of the week, and, frankly, I can’t find what power reserve it has. Most likely the standard for such mechanisms is 42 hours. Perhaps you can give me some advice.
The bracelet is of good quality.
Quite a complex shape of the links. Fully cast. The geometry is great. The finish is not bad, but again, not outstanding. Just good.
The clasp is standard for watches in this price range. With tongue. Casting inside, stamped outside. There is a diving extension and a couple of holes for micro adjustments.
Well, let's look at the dial.
Beautiful, yellow color. He has huge advantages. Firstly, people are tired of black and want something bright. These colors are in high demand now. Secondly, purely for diving, this is one of the best colors along with orange, as it is clearly readable under water.
The dial itself fits like a recess. Starting with the minute markings under the bevel, ending with the central part, which is located on the lowest plate.
The hour markers are bold and applied, which gives good volume and, together with the hands, excellent contrast and readability. Plus bright Swiss Super Luminova.
I'm not a fan of days of the week and dates, but this watch was really well done. I even like it.
So it's a nice, easy to read dial. No questions.

What can I say by the hour? The market definitely said “Yes” to them, since in 2 years Spinnaker has already released many variations, and new items from this collection are planned this year.
And the first models brought to my store sold like pie. Moreover, they were booked before I brought them then.
Therefore, apparently there is definitely something in them.
I see a nice design, I see good quality and performance.
This watch has some flaws and imperfections, but I, for example, know what the same Japanese and Swiss will give for this price. Therefore, in this regard, we can say that the watch is ideal.
If this is your style, take them, they will definitely please you. A good microbrand will always give pleasant emotions. And Spinnaker is one of those.
