American Ocean Crawler Bolt Watch

Friends, I welcome everyone to my channel about Feeltime watches, with you as always Stanislav and today we are reviewing watches from the premium American microbrand Ocean Crawler from the Bolt collection.

I have already done several reviews of this watch before, you can watch them on my channel.

However, each time I become more and more immersed in the watch.

Firstly, I am in constant communication with Christian, the owner of the brand, and I really like the process of creating these watches.

They are made in the small town of Rochester (New York). Each model is produced in small editions. There are specifically limited watches with their own unique number.

The good news for me personally is that even standard models like the one I'm going to show you today are made in small editions and, as it were, to order.

That is, they sell out, a new order comes in, and within a month they are again produced in a small batch.

So this is a product that is not stamped out in tens of thousands, but is made in really small quantities. Roughly speaking, a small studio that sews cool suits for special clients.

And considering the quality and presentation with which the models are released, I very clearly feel the value and how correct the development strategy Christian has chosen.

In general, I suggest you share the pleasure of the watches with me and move on to the models themselves. And today there are as many as 3 of them on review.

And the acquaintance begins with the packaging. And it is premium here.

An expensive box made of textile, natural wood and suede inside.

The watch comes with a nice booklet with the model range, and almost every Ocean Crawler watch comes with a high-quality bonus strap.

In this case, we have straps made of genuine leather that match the color of the dial.

The model itself is made in the style of suit divers. That is, here there is extreme water resistance of 600 meters with a very small thickness of 12.3 mm.

But you can see for yourself that the model is absolutely casual and will look great with a casual jacket.

Of course, it is worth mentioning that in this model Christian used the trend of bracelets integrated into the case. This is when the bracelet visually appears as if a solid continuation of the case.

And I want to tell you that the bracelet is simply of the highest quality.

It is truly silky. The case is 28 mm wide, tapering to 18 mm towards the clasp.

The links are completely satin-finished, with a thin strip of mirror polishing along the edges for added gloss.

All links are screwed.

TOP finishing. Moreover, the finishing is good even on the inner side of the links.

The last Swiss watch I had on an integrated bracelet was EPOS, which now costs about 75 thousand UAH. And to be honest, that bracelet was simpler than this one, in my opinion.

The clasp is also very well made. Very strong, fully cast clapper. Plus there is a diving extension that allows you to extend the bracelet by about 1 cm.

The case is made of 316l stainless steel. As is the bracelet. Quite large. Almost completely satin-finished. And, again, there are stripes of mirror polishing along the contour, which gives the watch more volume and expensiveness.

The finishing is gorgeous. No questions.

Head without protective ridges. Comfortable. With engraved Ocean Crawler logo.

They tried to make the bezel as neat as possible and not protruding beyond the case.

This is good, since it was necessary to preserve the harmony of the design. But from the point of view of convenience, of course, it is not very convenient to grab. And if your fingers get sweaty, it will be even worse.

Overall, the bezel movement is quite soft and confident. Pleasant clicks. No backlash.

The insert itself is made of scratch-resistant sapphire glass.

Let's take some measurements

Diameter - 42 mm, from lug to lug - 48 mm, thickness - 12.3 mm, Weight on a full bracelet - 179 grams.

On my small hand 18 cm. In girth the watch sits well, but the watch is quite large. It seems to me that it will open up gorgeously on a wrist from 19 cm.

Here I would like to note once again that the thickness of 12.3 mm with 600 meters of water resistance is simply chic. Usually with such indicators the thickness can fluctuate around 14 mm or more.

On the back cover of the watch we can admire the expensive engraving of Poseidon's battle with a giant octopus. Idea-driven. Cool.

By the way, this model is released in a limited edition of 100 copies. And its number, probably, can only be seen under a magnifying glass on a tiny plate near the tip of the trident. In my opinion, it is number 22.

Let's look at the leather strap.

It has a very nice quality. It's thick. It's obvious that it's made very well. And it's stitched inside that it was made in Rochester.

By the way, the belt smells nice. Usually bad belts have an unpleasant smell.

The only thing I would like in this watch is a quick-change system, since you provide such a strap and the ability to change it, and I would like the strap to be a different color.

It is clear that it was made to match the dial color. But, as it seems to me, plain black would look better. But this is of course a matter of taste.

Let's look at the dial.

Gorgeous Bardot. For contrast, we have a black plate with minute markings along the edge of the dial and a black border around the applied hour markers and hands.

This edging is matte. But the second hand on the contrary is highlighted with varnish and an orange tip.

They did a very nice job of making the Ocean Crawler logo and at the bottom they indicated the name of the Bolt collection with applied varnish.

Looks great. Plus let's check out the Swiss Super Luminova.

Judging by the characteristics, we have a real beast.

  • Water resistance - 600 meters
  • Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Glass thickness - 3.5 mm. This is very cool.
  • On board is an expensive Swiss automatic Sellita SW200-1 with a power reserve of 40 hours, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The following watches actually differ only in the content of the dial and the color of the strap.

This is a fully luminescent dial. The readability here is certainly a 5 with three pluses.

White combined with black always gives excellent contrast and very clear readability.

Overall, I really like this option. Plus, there is a black bezel insert.

The strap on this watch is of similar quality, only white to match the dial.

The latest model from the review is somewhat different from its predecessors.

Namely, its unique DLC coating, which is equal in strength to diamond, and which is more difficult to scratch.

The feeling from a black watch is of course completely different.

You could say they are full black. Except for the dial. Even the back cover is completely black.

But the dial here is dark blue.

For better contrast, the minute track is silver, and the hands, hour markers and logo are mirror polished.

Note that the bezel is also dark blue, although in some lighting it may appear black.

It looks very nice and expensive.

This is how it sits on my hand. Overall, I probably liked the watch with the fully luminescent dial the most.

Well then. Results.

Let me start with the price. Each model, even with DLC coating, which is nice, since these versions are usually more expensive, today in my Feeltime online store in Ukraine has a price of 55350 UAH, which at the current exchange rate is about $ 1330.

You know, I want to draw a simple analogy with this watch. I am currently wearing underwear from a Ukrainian manufacturer. And before that, I wore a well-known one. After I tried the custom Ukrainian ones, which, probably, due to the small quantity, are quickly snapped up on the website, I just don’t want to go back to the popular ones that I wore before.

Well, that is, the packaging, the material, the convenience. And the price, yes, is not small, but I have a feeling that they were tailored for me.

In fact, it's about the same with these watches. There are plenty of famous Swiss ones in this budget. Some models are even very good.

But here is an absolutely unique product, which is produced in small editions, thought out almost to the smallest detail, assembled super high-quality and equipped with some unreal characteristics.

So let's start from the beginning:

  • The watch is produced in a limited edition of up to 100 pieces in the city of Rochester, USA.
  • A watch that comes in premium packaging with an expensive strap.
  • A watch whose case and bracelet are simply licked. At the same time, the guys managed to make it so thin with 600 meters of water resistance.
  • Watches that have gorgeous dials
  • Thick sapphire, expensive Swiss mechanics.
  • And a watch that will be in your place only

If these were Swiss, you could easily add 30+ thousand to the price. I don't pull these numbers out of thin air. This is real observation based on what is being produced.

Therefore, I highly recommend this watch for those who want something different, super high quality and at a reasonable price.

And you can buy original Ocean Crawler watches from the official dealer in Ukraine in my online store Feeltime. 2-year warranty.

Payment in installments from Privat and Mono Bank is possible without overpayments for up to 6 months.

Links to the watches are at the very bottom of the article, plus I leave a link to my TELEGRAM for personal communication.

And that's probably all. I hope you found it useful. Stanislav is with you as always, until next time. Bye
