and at the same time promised that I would definitely consider the most technologically advanced ceramic novelty. Well, promises must be kept, and we begin.
Equipment
Let's start with the kit.
This is the classic white Rado box. The outer shell of the box is absolutely simple, minimalistic and I would not say that some kind of premium class is felt here.
But what really pleased me, and what I consider important, is a portable case in which you will find the watch itself. Here it already evokes a feeling of luxury packaging. Moreover, this case will be really useful for you when carrying and storing your watch. I would like to say to other other brands: “Learn. Instead of making your own huge, pretentious boxes, it’s better to make a small but really useful element for watches and their storage.”
In the protective pocket of the outer box, you will find two quality, branded watch care wipes and plastic cards, one of which states that this is a professional diving watch made of high-tech ceramics that complies with ISO6425 standards.
At the same time, on the back of the card, an explanation is given that this is really a professional diving tool that has passed all the relevant tests, has a water resistance of 300 meters, a bezel with a ceramic overlay and the Swiss Super Luminova on the hands, hour markers and on the starting mark of the bezel, so that the time can be read even in total darkness.
On the second card with an international 2-year warranty, the reference model and its serial number are indicated, which must match the number on the back of the watch.

Watch features
Well, now let's move on to the clock itself. It goes without saying that this is a Captain Cook watch, with all the desire it is simply impossible to confuse it with any other model. The watch has a pronounced face, besides, in this model, the case and bracelet are made of high-tech plasma ceramics.

What does it all mean?
The Rado brand has been conducting its own research and development for more than a decade, and as a result, such a unique material has been obtained, which is of course patented by the brand, and in fact has very serious protective properties. Ceramics itself is scratch resistant, and this type of ceramics can be considered ordinary ceramics, but in body armor, helmets, boots and other equipment.
All this I say to the fact that for many, the word "ceramics" may have an association - fragile. But in fact, these watches are more protected than stainless steel watches. By the way, there are still stainless steel elements here. It's a 120 click bezel with their high-tech ceramic insert, and it's a massive, comfortable crown that screws into the case for a better seal and is engraved with the anchor, the symbol of the Captain Cook collection.
I would like to say that due to such a unique material, the watch looks very unusual and has a futuristic hue. Simply chic and expensive matte at the junction of gray and brown strongly attract attention. Just walk up to the Rado booth and this watch immediately, like a magnet, attracts your eye. At least that's how it was for me.
The body of the model has the characteristic outlines of the Captain Cook collection. I would like to note that all faces have incredibly smooth transitions and the quality of the finish here is at the highest level.
Stainless steel bezel
I like that the bezel is made of stainless steel. This combination of metal colors creates the right volume and the watch acquires an even more expensive and status appearance.
The grip of the bezel is perfect, the move is very confident. It is absolutely clear that this is not just a decorative element, but really a tool for professional diving.
Sapphire, domed glass
The volume of the watch is also given by a domed, sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating and an expensive Fisheye effect.
Clock face
The composition is completed by a simply chic dial in such a beautiful and unobtrusive blue color that I get the impression that gray and blue are immediately mixed in this color. I love it when the dial has a subtle palette of colors and creates a sense of some kind of mystery.
The surface of the dial literally resembles a hill. That is, it deepens along the edges, and towards the middle, on the contrary, it has a hill. And this again creates an amazing volume of hours.
Readability is at the highest level. The hands have signature, brutal shapes, and, like the hour markers, are beautifully polished.
At the top of the dial you can see Rado's signature anchor, and I remind you that it is fixed on a crystal and rotates as the watch moves. Moreover, if the anchor stops rotating at some point, this should be a signal for you that something is wrong with the mechanism and it's time to service the watch.
At the three o'clock position, the date is neatly placed on a non-silver backing and with an unobtrusive red font.
At the bottom of the dial we see the collection "Captain Cook", a water resistance of 300 meters and the coveted inscription "Swiss Made" (made in Switzerland).
Thus, the dial of this watch can be called ideal to some extent. It looks expensive, it is expensively made, all the elements are processed perfectly, it has excellent readability, which is important for diving watches, plus do not forget that Swiss Super Luminova is on the hands and hour markers.
Watch sizes
The watch case is quite large. The diameter is 43mm, lug to lug is 49.5mm, thickness is 14.6mm, but my tool showed all 15mm. Oh well, let's take into account that there is a film on the back of the watch, there are protective films on my tool, so this gave a little more thickness.
The weight on the full bracelet I got 158 grams.

I like how the watch sits on my hand 18 cm in girth. Yes, they are big and tall. This is worth considering. But here is more your perception of the model. From ear to ear of my hand, the watch sits perfectly.
Watch back
Unfortunately, due to the film on the new watch, I cannot clearly show you the back of the watch, but here you can already see a very pleasant and rather deep engraving of seahorses. Again, a direct allusion to the diving purpose of the watch.
Watch bracelet and clasp
The bracelet pleased me no less than the case. It is also made of high-tech plasma ceramics. The central links have a more silver color, and the side links in the color of the body.
In terms of flexibility, the bracelet is literally silk. Finishing at the highest level. Including the inner parts of the links. There is absolutely no hint of saving anywhere.
I am very pleased to see that in this model, Rado not only took their classic clasp, as, for example, on the version with a bracelet made of rice grains, but made a new version. It looks great, well made, neat and comfortable.
Mechanism
Our model is powered by our own movement R763, which is a modified version of ETA C07.611. This mechanism has a huge power reserve of 80 hours, it operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and has an innovative Nivachrone titanium spiral resistant to magnetic influences and shocks.
Results
In general, I am ready to sum up.

I am very impressed with this model. It looks amazing, it's amazingly made, it has great features and I feel this watch is absolutely worth every penny spent on it.
And in no case will I agree with someone else's opinion from the category: "It's expensive." So you did not hold this watch, you did not feel it, since this model is really very successful in every sense of the word.
