Recently, a lot of new products from the microbrand AVI-8 came to my store. I already said that it belongs to the same owner as the Spinnaker brand.
And I've said more than once that if Spinnaker went the way of vintage, diving watches, then AVI-8 chose the path of aviation themes.
And I also promised that in a few weeks there will be a second part of the review, because so many watches arrived that I decided not to place them in one. So today we have the second part of the review. And I will leave the first one here.
Let's start with the trump cards.
This is the limited edition AVI-8 Pegasus model. It is dedicated to the legendary Rolls-Royce engine called the Pegasus.
By the way, did you know that Rolls Royce makes not only cars, but also aircraft engines?
A total of 500 of these models were produced worldwide. It comes in a designer gift box with a certificate, which contains the serial number of your watch.
Of course, the first thing that attracts attention is the fact that the dial is made like engine blades. As is the small seconds hand, implemented at the 5 o'clock mark.
The blades are also engraved on the back of the watch.
The case itself is made of stainless steel with a black PVD coating. The quality of the finish is excellent.
Genuine leather strap. Again, the quality is good. Stitched neatly with thread, grooved in the case.
The watch is quite large, as aviators like.
Diameter - 44 mm, from lug to lug - 52 mm, Thickness - 16 mm, Weight - 113 grams.
On my hand it is 18 cm. It fits well in volume. The lugs bend well, so there is no feeling that the watch is oversized.
In terms of characteristics, we have classics for aviator watches, so let's agree that I won't repeat some of them all the time.
This is sapphire glass, and it is water resistant to 50 meters, so you can wash your hands and not be afraid of rain.
On board is a Japanese Citizen Miyota 8245 movement with a power reserve of 42 hours. A simple and reliable mechanism.

The next model in our review will be the AVI-8 Atlas GMT with a 2nd time zone function.
The design is cool and unusual. The body looks like an element of an airplane dashboard.
The case itself is made of stainless steel and has, firstly, a rather complex, angular shape, and secondly, excellent quality of workmanship.
The round bezel smooths out the angularity of the watch quite a bit. And I think that's more of a function it performs, because the bezel is uncomfortable despite being tall, having some play, and an aluminum insert.
In principle, it is not really necessary for this watch, because the bezel is for the GMT function, and it makes it easier to navigate the dial.
On the back cover of the watch we see the markings of the cities of the world and through the transparent cover we can see the Japanese automatic Seiko NH35A. 42 hours of power reserve, operates at a frequency of 21600 vibrations per hour. A very well-known, reliable and time-tested mechanism.
Cool dial. Grainy, signature texture. Multiple levels, which gives the dial a wonderful volume.
The date is stylishly placed at the 6 o'clock position.
Plus, there should be a bright Swiss Super Luminova. Let's take a look together.
The case comes with a genuine leather strap. I definitely liked the quality. It looks and feels solid.
Despite its large size, this:
Diameter - 44 mm, from lug to lug - 54.5 mm, thickness - 14 mm, weight - 110 grams, the watch on my hand is 18 cm. It fits quite nicely.
Still, the advantage of aviator watches is that they are large, but often sit harmoniously even on small hands. That's just the style.
Today, it costs 14,490 UAH, and in terms of design and price-quality, the watch is at a very high level.

The next model of the AVI-8 Hawker Harrier has very unusual elements.
The first thing that catches your eye is that the dial, or rather the markings under the glass, are made in the style of markings that are often applied to the pilot's glass in fighter jets. For better orientation.
At first glance, it seems that readability is a sacrifice to the unusual design, but in fact, the main time is quite clearly highlighted with white marks, which glow beautifully in the dark.
Everything else is really a tribute to style.
Plus, note that there are two lugs on the case, the lower one we use to adjust the winding and time settings, and the upper one we use to rotate the inner bezel, which allows you to tell the time.

The back cover has engraving of engine blades.
The strap here is unusual. It is made of a combination of rubber on the inside and genuine leather on the outside. It is both comfortable and looks good. Plus, there is a quick replacement system, which is a definite plus.
By the way, the glass in this model is not samphire, but mineral, and Japanese mechanics are installed on board. True, the brand did not specify the caliber, so I can’t say for sure. But as usual, it’s definitely either Seiko NH35A or some Citizen Miyota caliber. For such a budget, this is a classic.
In terms of dimensions, we have a diameter of 44 mm, from lug to lug - 52 mm, thickness - 15 mm, weight - 120 grams.
They fit my hand very well, despite the size.

The next model will be the AVI-8 from the Bell X-1 collection and is dedicated to the aircraft that made its first supersonic flight.
Very unusual, semi-square body shape.
Angular design, the case itself is made of stainless steel with black PVD coating. Classy quality finish.
The strap is a combination of rubber and genuine leather, as we saw in the previous model, but there is no quick-change system here. In any case, the quality is good and the strap is comfortable.
Through the back cover of the watch we can see the Japanese mechanics Seiko NH35A. The rotor is custom and this saves it visually. Because the mechanism is very reliable, but its finish is so-so. There is nothing to look at there.
I really like the dial.
Grainy texture in the center. Very clear markings. This dial has excellent readability.

The watch fits perfectly on my hand.
It costs super affordable today. Only 11550 UAH. It seems to me that such presentation and quality for such a budget is just a gift.

The last model from our review impressed me with its details.
This is AVI-8 Capcom . The model was made in collaboration with the brand and Capcom, which is engaged in the release of video games and the cult game 1942.
It all starts with a branded box, which is made with the symbols of the game 1942 and a pixel structure.
The watch comes with a wonderful strap in a combination of rubber and genuine leather.
Plus, it is released in a limited edition of only 325 watches in the world, which will be engraved on the back of the watch and on the certificate.
Visually it looks really cool. You realize that the dial is really pixelated.
As someone who has been exposed to all these pixel games, it calms me down a bit and makes me feel pleasantly nostalgic. That is, the watch is definitely for the adult generation.
The dial is really gorgeous, plus the bright, Swiss Super Luminova.
The case is the simplest and most classic of all that we have seen today. Made of 316l stainless steel with black PVD coating. Good quality of workmanship.
I liked the bracelet. It is fully cast, there is a quick release system, which is appropriate, given the additional strap. Good quality workmanship. Plus, look at this.
The inside of the clasp. I told you they were obsessed with the details.
There is also an engraving of an airplane on the back of the watch.
By the way, this watch is the smallest one we've seen. Diameter - 41 mm, from lug to lug - 49 mm, thickness - 12 mm, weight - 150 grams.
It fits perfectly on my hand.

And in general, I really liked all the watches. Yes, they are unusual, yes, they are specific, but if you like the design, then you will be amazed by the price-quality ratio.
