Why are they so loved? Christopher Ward C60 Tide
Christopher Ward C60 #Tide Watch
Friends, hello everyone. You are on my channel about Feeltime watches, Stanislav is with you as always, and today we will review a brand that many people love, and which, unfortunately, will most likely never officially appear in stores in Ukraine.
We are talking about the Christopher Ward brand, which has decided to sell its watches directly only through its official store, which is why these watches can only be ordered from abroad.
Christopher Ward comes to me for review for the second time. Both of them asked me to help sell the channel viewers.
And both times they sent me a watch due to the fact that it turned out to be smaller than the person expected to receive in fact. It’s not that it’s literally smaller, but people simply thought that the watch would look larger, but when they tried it on their hand it turned out that it was too small.
When you order from abroad, be prepared that the watch will not fit you. These are always risks, and you understand them for yourself.
Well, I, in turn, am always happy to rent a good watch and help with the sale.
I would like to say that the English brand Christopher Ward is a super dynamically developing brand.
The watches are made in Switzerland.
The Christopher Ward brand has built its marketing campaign very competently, so there are even queues for some of their models. And you can’t buy all the watches right away, even on their official website. Often you have to wait.
Even now, the model that I will show you is only available for pre-order. It will be possible to order in mid-May.
To be honest, the packaging of the model gives the first pleasant impression of the model.
Christopher Ward doesn’t just brand the main box, but even unwinds the design of the box in which the watch is simply transported.
I've never seen anything like this before.
Under the main box we will have an Invoice. I won’t show it, it contains the customer’s personal data. I’ll just say that without delivery to Ukraine, without customs clearance, the model itself cost 1,340 euros, including 20% VAT.
And here we have a COSC certificate. This model is a certified chronometer. I'll talk more about this later.
The main box is made as cool as possible. It looks very compact, presentable and really heavy. At a glance, about half a kilo.
This is not surprising, since the internal insert is made of natural wood.
Here we will have a 5-year warranty card. Yet again. It is unlikely that you will use it in Ukraine. That is, you will have to officially send your watch abroad to Christopher Ward.
Firstly, you will pay a decent amount for delivery, and secondly, you may again be caught at customs clearance. Therefore, I believe that you should not count on official repairs.
Also included is such a nice booklet with our model. Its characteristics.
We can see that the mechanism we have is Sellita SW200 COSC.
Stainless steel.
Diameter - 42 mm, from lug to lug - 49.3 mm, thickness - 14.1 mm, weight - 95 grams.
Extreme 600 meters water resistance.
And the characteristics of the mechanism are as follows: 28800 vibrations per hour, the error, since this is a COSC chronometer, is 4-6 seconds per day, and the power reserve of this mechanism is not indicated in the booklet, but we already know very well that it is 38 hours.
In general, the package is very nice, and it is clear that Christopher Ward really cares about making sure that the buyer of their watch has a pleasant experience at the first contact with their product.
Now let's talk about the watch itself.
The model is called Christopher Ward C60 #Tide.
What does it mean? This means that the brand is collaborating with an organization to protect the oceans from plastic waste.
Well, first of all, the strap of this watch itself is made from recycled plastic.
And the strap here is really cool. I would say that it is downright velvety. Maximum pleasant, flexible, elastic. And, according to Christopher Ward, the brand donates 5 euros from the sale of each such strap to protect the oceans from garbage.
So it's a good thing. Many watch brands are now supporting this trend, and Christopher Ward is no exception.
The first model that was sent to me for review and sale was also from the C60 collection. Therefore, in terms of the shape of the case and the basis of the design, I do not see any fundamental difference with what I have already seen.
What definitely pleases is the presence of your own watch design.
Christopher Ward has models with a certain homage to luxury brands, but in general the guys don’t really flirt with this.
Especially if you look at the body from the side, I honestly can’t remember who has such a geometry. And it is quite complicated here.
You can see the base - it's satin. There are mirror polish transitions between the side and top surfaces.
The protective beads on the crown are very well done. The head itself is extremely comfortable.
On it you can see the logo of the #Tide organization for the protection of the oceans.
The same engraving is the center of the watch's case back. Moreover, the blue stripe, as well as the strap, is made from recycled ocean waste.
The watch has a bezel with a ceramic insert for 120 clicks. Very well made, comfortable. Very soft and pleasant ride.
The only thing is that there is a small gap. To be honest, I can’t say that this irritated me in any way.
As I said, the strap is made from ocean waste. Great quality. Quick change system. And a very neat stainless steel clasp with engraved Christopher Ward initials.
Let me remind you of the sizes again.
Diameter - 42 mm, from lug to lug - 49.3 mm, thickness - 14.1 mm, weight - 95 grams.
I have a small wrist, 18 cm in girth. The watch fits well on my wrist, but a 40mm watch would suit me better.
But let me remind you that the person who sells them, on the contrary, said that they are too small for him.
Let's look at the dial.
For me it is somewhat contradictory. Probably not to my taste.
Main plate with wave texture. If you look closely, this main plate seems to be translucent; you can see the mechanism through it.
Hour markers are applied. Creates good volume.
Applique and Christopher Ward logo at top of dial.
The signature second hand is blue and trident-shaped.
Date at 6 o'clock, on a black base. Doesn't distract attention.
Please also note that at 3 and 9 o'clock there are 2 screws screwed into the dial. I don’t know why this is, but it looks cool and, again, not immediately obvious.
And of course we’ll look at the Swiss Super Luminova.
As I said, the dial is not for everyone. Probably not to my taste. Write in the comments if you like this?
In terms of characteristics, I initially voiced everything, but let’s consolidate:
Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating
Water protection - 600 meters. That is, this is a full-fledged diving watch
And on board is the Swiss chronometer Sellita SW200, which has passed Cosc certification.
On the official website the price of this watch is 1089 euros. If you are bringing such a watch to Ukraine, count on a possible 20% VAT tax, which the buyer of this watch paid, count on customs clearance of 30% of the cost over 160 euros, and count on the delivery itself.
The person wore this watch once, and it is in almost new condition. I only see marks on the inside of the strap.
You can find out the cost of this model by following the link that I will leave in the description of this video or write to me in my personal telegram, the link to which I will also leave you with.
As for the watch itself, this is the second time I come into contact with this brand and I like it for the second time.
In terms of presentation and quality, everything is at a very high level.
I would rather buy this brand in this budget than the famous Swiss ones.
Not only are they made better, but to some extent they are also exclusive, because the brand has already gained momentum, and when 99% wear Mas Market, you will be the 1% who will choose not like everyone else and will not fail.
Because I’ll repeat myself. Already a fairly mature brand, cool presentation, great quality, top-end characteristics. There is everything here to enjoy wearing your watch.
I'll tell you what you think about this in the comments to this video.
I will end here, I hope it was useful to you, and Stanislav was with you as always. Until next time. Bye!
