Friends, yesterday I was planning to review something from the Japanese Citizen, but I was abruptly interrupted by this model, from a brand that I don’t really like, with the exception of their Orient Star collection.
Well, you already understand what kind of watch we are talking about. We are talking about the Japanese brand Orient. And yesterday I saw that a model arrived at the store, which really attracts attention in a good way. This is Orient Revival.

And let's start with the packaging. It's an oblong box that reminds me of some of the Orient Star models. That is, the brand seems to elevate this model to a rank higher than its more affordable watches.
Of course, such a model simply cannot fail to attract attention.
There’s a completely unreal mix of classics, sports and vintage here.
To be honest, they don't even look much like what Orient usually makes. The watch looks so expensive that at a quick glance I could easily identify it as some kind of entry-level premium watch.
This watch has some weaknesses and shortcomings, but I’m ready to forgive them in advance for the way the watch looks.
By the way, my close friend, who wears the Orient Star and is very difficult to please, said that the watch looks cool, but noted that the thickness is still too big.
Well, if that’s the case, let’s take the measurements right away. And to be sure, I tried them on myself.
Diameter - 40 mm, from lug to lug - 46 mm, thickness - 13 mm (by the way, not so much), and weight - 100 grams.
On my small hand it is 18 cm. The girth of the watch fits perfectly. Here the strap itself adds some thickness. Still, you see that it is made in NATO format. But for me personally, the thickness is quite acceptable.
316l stainless steel body. With black PVD coating.
Mirror polished sides. The ears are satin-finished. And the quality of the finish is quite nice.
Nice crown. A decorative element was added to its upper side, which seemed to be screwed into the body. Essentially this is a protective surge. Only the designers decided to make it on one side. In any case, it looks unusual.
60 click bezel. Made of stainless steel. It has a more gray coating, which contrasts very nicely with the black body.
The bezel really stands out. It has interesting markings, but in terms of rotation it is absolutely inconvenient. It is very tight, the clicks are somehow indistinct, and due to the tightness I often miss the necessary marks.
Conclusion - beautiful, but inconvenient. More of a decorative format.
The back cover of the watch is without any coating. There is an open balance window. Unfortunately, I won’t show it to you normally, since I don’t have a tool at hand to remove the strap.
The strap itself is made of brown genuine leather. Pleasant tactile, looks good.
I put it on my hand, everything is very convenient and comfortable.
The clasp is really very inexpensive. Oriental in spirit.
Let's name the characteristics.
This is waterproof - 50 meters, which is ok for this style. You can just wash your hands and not be afraid of the rain.
We have a self-winding F6S22 movement from Orient. Movement with 24 jewels and a power reserve of 40 hours.
And of course, we have Sapphire... No, not really sapphire. Mineral water. In a watch for $600
Let's look at the dial.
This is definitely the most delicious part of the watch.
Central plate with swirls. Very beautiful color. Either brown or metallic gray like the bezel. It feels different at different angles.
The open balance window and the main second hand window are located very harmoniously.
The applied logo at the top of the dial also looks great.
The marks seem to be located across the ravine (cutout) from the main plate. They are overhead and create good volume.
In short, it looks as cool as possible.
The cost of this model in my Feeltime online store in Ukraine today is 23,460 UAH.
Of course, if we take the characteristics, then this watch does not reach this price in my humble opinion.
But if you take their presentation and the feel of them, then this is really a very successful model.
They have their own personality, they are well made, they really look like a premium watch, and the regular Orient rarely looks like a premium watch. More like a very budget and affordable watch. With the exception, I repeat, of the Orient Star series.
So that's cool. And respect to the brand. They can if they want.
