Today we'll talk about an American brand that I like the most - Ocean Crawler.  

And I like the approach to manufacturing. Ocean Crawler positions itself as a premium micro-brand from the USA. All watches are made in the small town of Rochester and all are limited editions.  

• Each watch, without exception, comes in a beautiful, gift-worthy, wooden box.  
• Each watch always comes with an additional high-quality strap.  
• The quality of the watches themselves is impressive, as are their specifications.  

And I want to tell you that the designers' imagination is fine, because the watches look very attractive and expensive.

And as I said, they're all limited editions, in small quantities. That is, a model is released, sold, and there are no more, which makes them more exclusive and desirable.  

I am an official dealer of the Ocean Crawler brand in Ukraine and the art models that I showed in previous reviews just arrived. I was lucky enough to order a second time, and several of the latest models, which we will look at today.

So let's move on to the first one!

The model is called Ocean Crawler "Dream Diver" . It looks very bright and quite individual, despite the fact that the case seems to be of a regular shape. But the devil, as they say, "is in the details."  

First, they come in a gift box. This particular model comes with 2 straps.  

One is already installed and is made of durable, waterproof Kevlar, and the second is a genuine brown leather strap that perfectly matches the color of the dial and is made to a very high standard.  

Cool belt. And it smells nice. Usually cheap leather has an unpleasant smell.  

The watch looks very voluminous and glossy, which is given to it by a combination of accented mirror polishing and satin finishing on most parts.  

The quality of workmanship is at a high level.  

The head screws into the case, and there is a helium valve on the side to stabilize the pressure in the watch case.  

All this is appropriate, since we have on board professional, I would say extreme, water protection of 600 meters.  

In general, everything here is adjusted for diving. Sapphire glass with a very large thickness of 3.5 mm and anti-reflective coating.  

The dial is orange, and if you didn't know, that's the color that's best readable underwater.  

Plus, the labels are coated with Swiss Super Luminova, which glows brightly in the dark.  

I like the detailing of the dial. The markers are superimposed, well-finished and give more volume. As does the superimposed Ocean Crawler brand logo.  

The date is unobtrusively located at the 6 o'clock position. Plus, it says where the watch was made: Rochester, New York.

By the way, I forgot about the bezel. It's just for recording time intervals underwater. But these days, it usually has more visual power than practicality. The bezel is convenient, monumental.  

Due to the polishing, it slips a little between the fingers, but it is tall, so it is generally comfortable to hold. There is no play.  

On the back of the watch we have the brand logo, some specifications, and the serial number of our particular model, and it is a limited edition of only 100 watches in the world.

This model is equipped with a Sellita SW200-1 Swiss automatic movement with a power reserve of 38 hours, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.  

This is a very well-known and reliable mechanism that is now installed in many Swiss watches with a budget of $1,000 to $3,000.  

It would seem that this watch could be improved with something else. And there is something. It is claimed to have a certain shock resistance. Of course, this will not save it from a bulldozer, like a Casio, but it will definitely soften the blows if they occur, and for such a watch it is very useful.  

Let's measure.  

My hand is 18 cm in circumference. This is a small wrist.  

Diameter - 41 mm, from lug to lug - 48 mm, thickness - 14 mm, weight - 110 grams.  

As a diver with a hellish water resistance of 600 meters, it sits very comfortably on my hand.

Well, it costs 46,200 UAH today. It's expensive if you try to equate this price with the concept of a microbrand, but very affordable if you understand what you're getting and what, for example, famous Swiss brands will have for the same money.

This watch looks expensive, is made expensively, is packed with features beyond my imagination, has very serious specifications, equipment, and is also limited to a small edition.  

The second watch we'll look at is the Ocean Crawler from the "Bolt" collection .  

And I want to say that you may not like this design of the bracelet integrated into the case, but you simply have a callous heart if you cannot appreciate how beautifully it is made and looks.  

Because it's definitely not my style, but when I pick up this watch, it really looks very pleasing to the eye.  

The Ocean Crawler “Bolt” watch comes in the same box. The watch comes with an additional rubber strap. The quality is top-notch. Plus the smell. I don’t know how they do it, but the smell is pleasant, a little sweet. Well, you get the idea. Rubber usually smells like rubber, but this is different. And Ocean Crawler always does.  

If you automatically perceive this watch, you will immediately think: "Another Tissot PRH clone," because for some reason we are used to comparing watches with integrated bracelets with this particular model.  

But this is not a Tissot PRH at all, and it's not even close. They look very individual, and all that individuality is given by attention to detail.  

The case has a simply gorgeous finish. The mirror-polished transitions between satin surfaces give it gloss and volume.  

By the way, who would have thought that this watch also has 600 meters of water resistance and a sapphire crystal with a thickness of 3.5 mm. It's just a wolf in sheep's clothing. Because the watch definitely doesn't look like a diver's watch, but it has such characteristics.  

The bezel is also very deceptive. It's low and seems like it would be much less comfortable than its predecessor, but in fact it rotates so smoothly that it doesn't require any effort and the comfort is simply top-notch.  

By the way, the bezel insert is sapphire.  

The back of the watch features a magnificent engraving of Poseidon's spear and the Kraken. Perhaps this image alone in the watch speaks of its diving origins.  

But now the thought occurred to me that if you put on rubber, the perception will definitely change.  

And so by default there is just a TOP-TOP bracelet. Complex geometry, excellent quality of workmanship. And a very adult clasp "clapper" with a diver's extension. Honestly, the Tissot PRH bracelet is resting in comparison with this.  

This model is equipped with the same Swiss automatic Sellita SW200-1.  

And we come to the main feature of the watch, which I've been silent about all this time. And this is the dial, which is made from a real fragment of an ancient meteorite that fell and was found in Scandinavia.  

There are two good news. The first is that there were 3 colors of this model, each of which was released in a limited edition of 33 copies worldwide. That is, there are only 33 such watches.  

The second good news is that even among these 33 watches, no two dials have the same design, because the texture of the meteorite is of course different. And all this gives a feeling of exclusivity.  

Let's try it on my hand.

In my subjective opinion, it feels a bit big.  

Diameter - 42 mm, from lug to lug - 50 mm, thickness - 12.3 mm, weight - 194 grams.

That is, the diameter is not small here, and the distance from lug to lug is not small. I used to wear watches up to 41 mm. But of course, it's a matter of taste.  

It costs 56,700 UAH today. And I will say in simple words, if a famous Swiss brand had made all this, it would have cost at least 2 times more. And a really famous brand could have charged 3 times more.  

Unfortunately, it is no longer available for order. At the time of publication, it is already SOLD OUT!

Conclusions

I personally really like this brand.

There is something to compare it to. And it really feels like an exclusive, which looks like a good offer from all sides.  

Maybe sometimes I would like the watch to be a little smaller, but Americans are like that - they like everything big, plus, of course - it's all a matter of taste.
