A couple of minutes of educational program. The previous model was not particularly popular and was underestimated.
And this was as strange as possible, since it was a watch with a DLC coating, durable as diamond, a watch with excellent finishing quality, with two straps (leather and rubber). Moreover, the straps, again, are of excellent quality.
And the cherry on top of the cake were the characteristics:
This is a Japanese mechanical self-winding Seiko NH35A, ceramic bezel, sapphire with multi-layer anti-reflective material, 15 layers of Swiss Super Luminova and 300 meters of water resistance.
And now I will announce the price. That watch cost only $280.
And given their sluggish sales, I just thought: “Christmas trees, what else do you need? So they can shoot fireworks for this money?”
In fact, this apparently was the problem. For all its advantages, the watch looked very laconic. Well, there was no feeling of “Wow” from the appearance. For example, when you look at the new Vortex.
For example, I observed the same effect with the Nebula model. Well, the watch is well made, and the characteristics are great, and the price is sweet, but sales are weak.
After all, the watch is about emotions. Let's see if the updated versions provide the range of necessary emotions.
A total of 5 colors were released. From classic black to bright yellow. That is, at least they added a couple of bright colors to attract attention.
Let's look at the yellow watch as an example, and during the review I will briefly show and try it on my hand.
In terms of design and shape of the case, these are still the same, good old Phoibos Reff Master.
Absolutely everyday divers. Only the dials are highlighted.
The body is made of 316l stainless steel. All the magic starts here. This is a luxurious satin finish with mirror polishing at the transition of surfaces. Moreover, in this model the strip of mirror polishing is fat and has a complex shape.
Bezel with ceramic insert. The most comfortable and confident ride. No backlash. And nothing is cut anywhere. I will immediately note that this model has excellent finishing everywhere. Even on the underside of the bracelet, where small imperfections can cause the edges of certain watches to become sharp.
Very convenient crown with engraving of the brand logo. And as always, Phoibos delights with expensive engraving on the back of the watch.

Diameter - 42 mm, from lug to lug - 47 mm, thickness - 14 mm, weight on a full bracelet 187 grams
On my arm 18 cm. The girth fits perfectly. The lugs are short, so the bracelet fits perfectly.
The bracelet is gorgeous. Starting from finishing, ending with geometry. Plus complex shapes of links. The main ones are in the form of bars, and the inner ones are oval shaped.
The bracelet is completely cast and has screws.
But I didn't really like the clasp. It is stamped on the outside, cast on the inside. I don’t like it because prying the tongue with a fingernail is not the most pleasant thing.
I really like the dial.
The so-called “Sandwich” with slots for hour markers.
Base plate with grainy texture. Arrows and marks are highlighted in black. The contrast with the yellow color is stunning, so readability is excellent.
There was no date added to this model. I think this is the right move. It would ruin the dial. What do you think?
Well, the Swiss Super Luminova from Phoibos should, as always, be at its best. Let's get a look.
The dial is covered by a slightly convex sapphire with 3 layers of anti-reflective material.
On board the watch are the same good Japanese mechanics Seiko NH35A. And water protection - 200 meters.
That is, in terms of characteristics, the changes affected only water protection. She became smaller. Let me remind you that the old models had 300 meters.

Well, what can I tell you, for this price it’s a very coolly made watch. I'm talking about finishing and detailing. You just can't get to the bottom of it.
