Friends, hello everyone, you are on the Feeltime channel, Stanislav is with you as always, and today we will consider a novelty from the Phoibos microbrand from the Apollo collection.  

Since 2021, this is already the third generation of the collection dedicated to the space industry.

Let me start by reminding you that this is the first collection in which the Phoibos brand decided to move away from diving style and dedicated watches to the space theme, and the model was named after the expedition to the moon "Apollo".

Each model in the series is made from ultra-hake titanium, which makes the watch more resistant to scratches.  

Moreover, if in previous models the titanium grade was HV800, then in the new model it was upgraded to the HV1200 rating, so that the watch became even stronger and more durable.  

Versions of the new model

In total, 5 colors of the novelty dials were presented. For the first time, the brand has a camouflage dial.

Equipment

The watch comes in a portable phoibos travel case. Usually such a case immediately says that these are more premium watches of the brand. Models in a simpler way come in classic, square boxes.

I really like this case. It is convenient and perfect for carrying and storing your watch.  

Which changes?

What immediately catches my eye on the changes.  

First of all, it's weight. The first version of the watch is 132 grams.

The second version, if you remember, was made of stainless steel, so it is the heaviest - 200 grams.

But the novelty is the lightest of all - 125 grams.

Moreover, it would seem that the difference between the titanium versions is only 7 grams, but it is noticeable even in the hands.  

Crown location

The changes also affected the location of the head. At the beginning, Phoibos placed it in the lower right corner of the watch, which, by the way, is very convenient.  

Then symmetrically in the opposite direction. And in the novelty they returned to the most familiar position at the 3 o'clock mark. Of course, I am more impressed when the head is in the lower corner of the case. This looks unusual, and more convenient.  

Engraving on the back of the watch

If in previous models an astronaut in a slightly playful form flaunted on the back cover

, then in the new model this figure was decided to be removed. I think that just because of the very playfulness. Still, this element is not for everyone, and the watch is not cheap.  

Bracelet clasp changes

They changed a little and the shape-type of the fastener. In previous models, it was with a double fixation; in the new watch, only a triangular tongue secures it. The clasp looks a little more modern, and despite the fact that I do not like such clasps, in this model it looks very harmoniously clean in terms of design.  

Bezel Changes

The bezel in the 2 previous versions is ceramic with 120 clicks. Since they tried to raise the protection of the case and bracelet in the new model, they decided to pay attention to the bezel. It has a unique DLC coating that is as hard as carbon and more durable than ceramic.  

Watch sizes

In terms of size, all three models are identical (except for the weight that I indicated earlier). Diameter - 41 mm, Ear to ear - 48 mm, Thickness - 12.5 mm, Bracelet width - 22 mm.  

The only thing that is purely visual, the new model seems to me a little smaller in diameter. I don’t even know how the brand managed to achieve such an effect. I really thought they were 1 mm smaller for sure, but the tool shows that this is not the case.  

Watch on my hand

The model looks great on my wrist 18 cm. In girth. The landing is perfect. The ears do not protrude, they sit clearly under my brush.  

Case and bracelet

As I said earlier, the case and bracelet of this model are made of ultra-durable titanium rated HV1200. I like that the watch has a silver tint and somewhat resembles a stainless steel model, when regular titanium has a pure matte color.  

And to some extent, I am pleasantly surprised by the finish of this watch. Especially the bracelet, which is usually saved on.

Made incredibly cool. The bracelet itself is screwed, very light, delicate and has an expensive rustle.  

Watch face features

When I began to examine the dial in more detail, I realized why this watch seemed smaller to me. On the very first version, the dial seems larger, due to this, the watch visually feels larger.  

The dials are one of the highlights of this watch. Phoibos released 3 more expensive versions with dials: Camouflage, Lava and Universe. And 2 more familiar dials in silver and black with a slightly more affordable price.  

Let's take a look at everything.  

Brutal arrows in the form of rockets immediately attract attention. We still have watches in the theme of space.  

A very unusual zebra overlay around the circumference of the dial with hour markings.

The readability of the watch, of course, insofar as there is no minute markup, but here they did not focus on readability. Here, first of all, the uniqueness and appearance of the dials.  

A very unusual shape and watch marks, which, like the hands, have the composition of the Swiss Super Luminova and shine brightly in the dark.  

In general, the dials are made very cool. And we all understand perfectly well that it is the dials that often set the tone of the watch.  

Characteristics of Phoibos Apollo Watches

• All this beauty is covered by sapphire glass, as always, with a triple layer of anti-glare.  
• And in this model, water protection was increased from 200 meters in previous versions, to 300 meters in the new one.
  
  Yes, and a more serious mechanism is installed. Japanese Miyota 9015 against Seiko NH35 in the first versions.  

This 24-jewel movement has a power reserve of 42 hours and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The error is from -10 to +30 seconds per day. By passport. In fact, it's usually better.

Results

Well, friends, I'm ready to sum up.  

The price of 3 models with more expensive dials in our store today is 26250 UAH, 2 other models have a price of 25200 UAH.  

The first, titanium generation today has a price of 15600 UAH according to the remnants.  

Thus, the price of new items has increased literally by 10,000 UAH. For the price, titanium is more durable and has a slightly better finish.

The bezel has a DLC coating, which is also more reliable than ceramic. Increased water protection, installed a more expensive mechanism. And of course it is clear that they worked with the dials from the heart.  

According to my feelings   - this is a very cool watch, which is comparable in quality to much more expensive models, much more famous brands.
