Outrageous Invicta Kraken
And now let me, as in the good old days, show you a real monster in the best traditions of the brand. This is the Invicta Kraken.
The model is dedicated to the mythical monster - Kraken. Actually, it in itself is very similar to a giant tentacle.
The watch case reminds me of a huge shell.
Watch sizes
Sizes are not for children. We are still talking about Invictus. Diameter - 53 mm, from ear to ear - 56 mm, Thickness - 22 mm and weight on the full bracelet - 344 grams.
Design Features
The body shape is very complex. Conventionally, it can be divided into 2 parts. The main layer with buttons and a helium valve on the opposite side, and a wave-shaped bezel decorated with screws and voluminous Arabic numerals with black IP coating.
Bezel
The grip of the bezel is very comfortable, clicks are for an amateur, but the move is very confident and there are no backlashes, when there are usually some questions about this on Invicta watches.
Glass
I will also highlight the thick, tempered Flame Fusion glass, which Invicta makes using a patented technology. The glass is anti-reflective and, in my personal experience and that of many of my clients, Fusion glass is indeed very durable.
Watch back
On the back cover of the watch you can see not deep, but very nice engraving of the Kraken.
Finishing
For finishing, we have a combination of PVD gold coating and black IP coating. This is a time-tested combination that somewhat smooths out the feeling of pure gold, or as they are often banteringly called “gypsy watches”.
The quality of finishing for the price of this watch is 5+. Beautiful mirror finish on the sides and satin finish on the upper case lugs.
The quality of the bracelet and clasp
Very nicely made bracelet. It literally looks like tentacles, its central part is engraved with scales, and at the junction with the body under the metal frame there is a polyurethane sealant, which creates mobility and elasticity of the scales.
In short, it looks very unusual.
It goes without saying that all the links here are cast. I did not unpack the clasp, it is a classic for Bernd Invicta, with a double fixation.

This is how this monster sits on my arm 18 cm in girth. In general, the arc clearly licks my brush, there are no gaps, so the size is mine, but you should understand the style of the watch, and that they are really big, brutal, and you need to be prepared for this.
At the moment, there are several more modifications of Kraken models in our store. There is a mechanical version with an Abalone shell dial, and a limited edition of 999 pieces worldwide, created in collaboration with former American football star Jason Taylor.
Clock face
The watch has an amazing dial. Such a techno style with several levels.
It is very deeply seated, overhead elements look very interesting. It's like some kind of complex mechanism.
I would like to note the applied mirror polished logo and the gold edging of the lower dial and the polished hour and minute hands. Up close, the processing quality is very good.
I am generally surprised how such high quality could be achieved for the price of these watches.
Characteristics
According to the characteristics, we have on board the Swiss Ronda Z60 quartz movement. This is an absolutely reliable mechanism with the function of the days of the week, date and a simple stopwatch with counters of 30 minutes and 60 seconds.
Waterproof
The water resistance of the model is 200 meters. This seems to be not much, but here the buttons are screwed down for better tightness of the case, and there is a helium valve to stabilize the pressure in the watch case. So everything is pretty balanced.
Results
The price of this model for today in our store at a discount is 12000 UAH.
The last kraken watch that I sold before the war, I sold for 16,000 UAH. And this is taking into account the fact that the dollar has now grown by 30%.
Therefore, for this money, this is, of course, to some extent a gift, since the watch looks gorgeous, it is very coolly detailed, it has an excellent quality of finish and quite pleasant characteristics.
