Friends, hello everyone, you are on my channel about Feeltime watches, Stanislav is with you as always, and today we will look at several models from the German brand Zeppelin.
I would like to remind you that the Zeppelin brand today represents probably one of the most affordable German watches.
And in Ukraine today it is almost the only watch brand made in Germany.
And it's a shame. After all, German watches have their own distinct, aviator, vintage, military style.
The history of the Zeppelin brand is somewhat blurred. Some say that it was created in 1909, others mention that the brand was created in 1987 and belongs to the Poin Tec company.
I'm still leaning towards the second number.
To describe the brand in a nutshell, these are vintage, aviator, and classic models.
Absolutely clear and understandable style. I would say that in many models the cases are identical, but the dials can vary greatly. This, by the way, is influenced by the very diverse calibers of Japanese and Swiss movements.
This, by the way, is really cool, since Zeppelin does not use hackneyed mechanisms.
In general, a really creepy, cool vintage. I get a certain aesthetic pleasure from these watches.
Today we will review women's and men's watches from the same Mediterranee collection. Let's see what's what.
We'll start with the women's watch Zeppelin Mediterranee 9637-5
I will say that this watch looks simply amazing.
I don’t even know how to explain this to you, but I look at them and I really can’t understand whether they cost $300 or $1500.
For me, this is an indicator of truly successful design.
As I have said more than once, this is vintage in its purest form.
Old-fashioned case made of 316l stainless steel, delicate beige color of the dial, with a frankly vintage content.
And this structure is completed by a strap made of genuine vintage calf leather.
On the back of the strap it is indicated that it is handmade. The quality is really top-notch.
And you know what, there is a very budget clasp here, but it does not annoy me at all, since it fits perfectly with the similar style and presentation of the watch.
If you look closely at the case, you can see that it is of just average, good, confident quality. I have absolutely no comments regarding the price of this watch.
Plus, I repeat that Zeppelin’s body shapes are very often repeated. A little later you will see this in the example of a male model.
The unusual thing you can see is that there is a button on the left side of the case, and an additional pusher on the right side.
You can see that in the upper left window there are days of the week, and in the right one the date is implemented.
So you can press the left button using an object like a pen and thus switch the days of the week. By the way, it is very unusual that the arrow rotates not clockwise, but counterclockwise.
And with the right pusher you change the date.
By the way, it looks great, it’s unusual and to some extent unique.
Here, perhaps, we should mention the characteristics.
Swiss Ronda quartz is installed on board the model. Unfortunately I couldn't find any information about the caliber, but that's not really important. The manufacturer is well-known and reliable. And for a woman, quartz is definitely more convenient and practical. Our fair half doesn’t have the same concerns as men that there should be mechanics. That is why you can find quite expensive, but quartz, women's watches from both Rado and Maurice Lacroix. This is not just done.
Let's return to the characteristics.
Water resistance is 50 meters, which is classic for this style. You can wash your hands and not be afraid of the rain. But don't swim.
And mineral glass. Honestly, I can’t understand why Zeppelin puts mineral water in almost all of their watches, but it is what it is.
Let me also tell you the dimensions.
Diameter - 36 mm, from lug to lug - 41 mm, thickness - 10 mm, weight - 43 grams.
These sizes will fit well on both thin and large hands. Again, taking into account the fact that women now often wear men's watches as unisex.
Well, the dial is simply fabulous.
Delicate, beige, vintage color.
In general, absolutely everything here is vintage. Elegant blackened hands look very cool.
Nice minute markings along the edge of the dial, chic font of applied hour markers.
The applied Zeppelin logo and the lower part of the dial are decorated with a moon phase function and the "Made In Germany" lettering.
Today the price of this beauty is 15560 UAH. Honestly, I would give more. Let's move on.
Men's watch Zeppelin Mediterranee 9664-5
Oh how good they are. Male version. It actually has a somewhat similar dial, but without the complications.
And as expected, it is mechanical, which can be seen through the back of the watch.
After all, men, including myself, love mechanics more.
And on board we have the Japanese Citizen-Miyota 8205 movement with a power reserve of 42 hours, operating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. STOP there is a second.
They're gorgeous.
And I want to start right away with the dial.
When I see something like this, for me this watch is closer to much more expensive. Because I have seen such quality dials in much more expensive Swiss watches, but here the price tag is very affordable.
Again, a soft, beige plate.
Blackened arrows. Well, I really like the overhead, Arabic numerals. This looks really top-notch.
The only thing is that the date and day of the week at the 3 o'clock position are not for everyone. It doesn't annoy me, but I would remove it.
And below, of course, is the coveted Made In Germany inscription.
The characteristics are similar to those of women.
50 meters water resistance, mineral glass.
The case, again, as was said, differs little from the women's version and from many Zepellin models. That is, the brand has found its forms and simply changes variations through dials, which really works.
Strap made of genuine calf leather. Handmade. I really like the quality. Nice, beautiful color.
The dimensions are as follows:
Diameter - 40 mm, from lug to lug - 45 mm, thickness - 12 mm, weight - 69 grams.
They fit so well on my skinny arm, 18 cm in girth. Very beautiful, stylish model. I often wear sportswear, but I really like good vintage.

But overall, I want to say that it’s like a breath of fresh air.
In Ukraine, a similar style can probably be found only in some Orient models, if we are talking about inexpensive watches. And then, the implementation will be much more meager.
And here it has its own distinct style, a very nicely made watch that feels clearly more expensive than its price, and is also made in Germany.
