Friends, hello everyone, you are on the channel about Feeltime watches, Stanislav is with you as always, and today there will be a watch style that is not typical in my reviews. This is a classic from Rado Coupole Classic.

In general, having taken the watch in my hands, I understand how similar the methods are even in different markets.  

Well, there is, for example, Toyota, and there is premium Lexus. This is the same manufacturer, so many models of these machines are very similar to each other.

But as I said above, Lexus is considered a premium line. Accordingly, prices are more vigorous.  

And when I took this watch in my hands, twisted it, and saw the shape of the sides, I immediately realized that this was essentially a premium version of the Swiss Certina DS-1.

And this is not surprising, since both brands belong to the Swatch Group.  

In short, in simple words, the division into poor and rich. It goes without saying that this is just a play on words. Certina today is far from being for the poor, it just so happens that there are two very similar models in different weight categories.  

In general, let's move on to the clock and look in more detail.  

If it weren't for the shape of the side parts of the body, I definitely wouldn't think that there is anything in common between the Rado Coupole and the Certina DS-1.

After all, it's a classic. What to expect from her?  

But when you see one similarity, other common details are already caught behind it.  

This is an identically curved dial, which we will look at later, this is an absolutely identical watch back, through which you can see the mechanism, which Rado call a complex digital reference, but in essence it is the same Powermatic 80 with a power reserve of 80 hours, which costs the same rubbish.  

These are fairly similar crocodile straps. Which, by the way, I don't really like.  

“Good start” you say. He sells like he sells.  

In fact, everything that I voiced is not, in essence, some kind of drawback.  

In the world of watches, everything, or almost everything, has already been invented. And one way or another you will always see repeating elements. Why reinvent the wheel?  

This watch has a very important advantage. Yes, the base here is really the same as the Certina DS-1, but the color palette and texture of the dial are made in such a way that the watch looks radically different. And this is important.

Case made of 316l stainless steel with gold PVD coating. It is completely mirror polished. The quality of the finish is very nice.  

The dimensions are as follows:

Diameter - 41 mm, rather short ears - 45 mm, thickness - 10.3 mm, weight - 75 grams

On my small hand, 18 cm. The girth fits very well. The size is just perfect. By the way, this model has a very similar unisex version with a case diameter of 37.7 mm.  

In general, I really like the design of this watch. Such simplicity, but simplicity is expensive. This is the perfect, minimalist, classic watch.  

I already mentioned that I don't like the watch strap. I don’t like leather in general, but this one also has a crocodile look. In my opinion, such leather looks cheap.  

I would immediately go to a good strap maker and order something more reputable.  

The only thing I can give credit for is the truly premium clapper clasp. They really didn't miss a beat with this one.  

Since this is a classic watch, the set of characteristics is quite predictable.

This is a sapphire, slightly convex glass with double-sided anti-reflective glass.  

It is water resistant to 50 meters. Just so you can wash your hands and not be afraid of the rain.

This, as I said, is a Powermatic 80-based movement with a power reserve of 80 hours.

Well, of course, let's see the most delicious.

This is the dial.  

There's a stylish, diamond-shaped base plate here. Like I said, it's curved. This is such a small, but actually very pleasant nuance. It is precisely these dials that tell a person that the watch in front of you is at least not cheap.  

I probably won't be able to convey this to you on camera, but the arrows and marks here are also curved. And this is another element in the collection of the feeling of an expensive watch.  

Readability is excellent.  

Absolutely nothing extra. The date at 3 o'clock is on a black background, so as not to distract attention.  

The only inscriptions are the Rado logo, with a branded rotating anchor, the Automatic inscription, and the Swiss Made inscription (made in Switzerland).

What do I want to tell you as a result?

The model is very successful. This is a bestseller for Rado. And there are quite understandable reasons for this.  

This is a cool, on the one hand simple, and on the other hand expensively implemented design.  

This is important - mechanics. Because in brands of this level, for this price, you often expect quartz. For example, the same Maurice Lacroix. There, within 60 thousand, there is only quartz.  

And here you have a famous brand, a well-made watch, and pleasant characteristics.  

I immediately found similarities between this watch and the Certina. And this really is, but I want to tell you that the buyers for these watches are different. Just different weight categories in terms of brand.  

The Rado is a step above, and many people are willing to pay a premium for it. It's just a given. And that's okay. If you can safely allocate this amount.  

So yes, it's a great model. A true costume classic. There really aren't many competitors at this price. Therefore, I personally recommend it.
