Trekking watch Casio Pro Trek PRT-B50T-7ER

Friends, I welcome everyone, Stanislav, Feeltime online store is with you and today we will have a tracking watch from the Japanese Casio Pro Trek PRT-B50T-7ER for review.

To be honest, this is the first time I get acquainted with this collection and I immediately note a pleasant plus of the watch - among the huge variety of Casio watch models, the Pro Track stands out. That is, I can immediately visually determine what kind of model it is and to which series it belongs.

After I had seen enough of this watch in other videos, I was already afraid to put it on my hand, expecting it to be some kind of elephant, but in fact the watch looks very cool even on my small hand. Most likely, those who react sharply to a large size have simply never dealt with a massive watch and are simply not used to it.  

This is how the watch sits on my hand 18 cm in girth. Yes, definitely large, but they look really cool. This model also has a black color variation with IP coating.

Watch sizes

Well, since we're talking about sizes, let's take them off. On the bezel 45.5 mm, in the widest part - 50.6 mm, length from ear to ear - 57 mm, height - 15.9 mm, bracelet width at the case - 23 mm, at the clasp - 18 mm. The weight is only 96 grams.

This weight is not easy. Firstly, the case is made of a shock-resistant polymer, and secondly, the bracelet is made of titanium, which also greatly affected the weight. And this is really important, since these watches must first of all be considered as a tool, and they must be not only functional, but also comfortable.

The case, by the way, is very cool. And if you do not take it in hand, I would not say that it is made of polymer, more like stainless steel.  

The buttons are really very comfortable and massive. They have a rough surface, so as not to slip between the fingers.  

Black bezel with compass markings. Rotates in both directions. It should be understood that this is not the usual type of bezel with a ratchet. It just spins with nice friction. And here you somehow expose it and launch the compass with the right upper button. The arrows serve as indicators. Unfortunately, I don't understand this at all.

When I saw in the video that there was a stamped bracelet in this watch, I immediately thought: “That's it, I'll smash this watch.” But you know, when I took them in my hands, the tactile sensations are actually quite pleasant. That is, yes, the bracelet is stamped and for the price of this watch it seems to be unacceptable, but for some reason in this particular model I have the feeling that it should be so, otherwise the watch was at least noticeably heavier.  

On the other hand, there is a standard mount and you can always play with the straps, thereby further reducing the weight of the watch. In general, the bracelet is normal, plus there is a rather interesting system for removing extra links. That is, it is enough to take some kind of object such as a thick handle, insert the tip into the hole and the link will unhook.  

The clasp is also stamped, but quite comfortable. The usual cracker, just the way I like it.

I forgot to show that the bracelet has a quick replacement system and this is definitely a plus. Well, since we are here, I will show you the back cover, which is made of stainless steel. Of the minuses, I note these screws. I can already imagine how they can be inadvertently taken to a master with hands from one place and he will break the puzzles, but you still have to open the watch every few years, since there is an ordinary battery here.  

Someone says that this is a terrible minus, which makes me smile on my face. What a terrible minus every 2 years to go to a good master, pay 200 UAH, spend 15 minutes of time. Horror and nightmare.

What we have declared in terms of functionality.  

• There is a pedometer, which is adjusted by the top left button
• There is an altimeter or altimeter, which is adjusted by the lower right button and shows surface differences
• With the left lower button, according to the classics, we switch all the main functions: a barometer (pressure meter). Now, by the way, a thunderstorm is brewing and it’s just stuffy, and the pressure should be high.  
• A thermometer, which is very useful for me personally, the time of sunrise and sunset, which also seemed to me a curious function, a classic stopwatch, a countdown timer, an alarm clock and world time.  
• And of course, this watch can be connected via bluetooth to your smartphone and use many interesting features through the proprietary Casio app. Of course it's free. It can be downloaded for both iPhone and Android.  
• There is also a rather convenient function when you remove the arrows from the digital display so that they do not interfere with reading the data. To do this, hold down the bottom button of the LED backlight and then hold down the bottom left button. To return to the starting position, we perform the same manipulations.

Clock face

What I want to say about the dial. Firstly, it is covered by mineral glass, which is not a disadvantage, since it is correctly located below the bezel level. Moreover, the pool is quite deep, and you just can’t get the glass.  

The readability of the dial is on top, which is very important. It's still a tracking watch. That is, Casio managed to make a super functional model, but at the same time maintain excellent readability. For this they respect and uvazhuha.  

Do not forget that there is a decent LED backlight.

Results

Smoothly moving to the conclusion, I want to say that this is a chic watch if you take it for an active life. They are well-made, perfectly charged functionally, have their own individual design and are adequately priced.
