The first category is fashion watches.

Recently, a stand with Deniel Klein watches appeared in the window. I understand the owner of this store, because the situation in Ukraine is really difficult now and the demand for luxury watches, and for watches in general, has fallen dramatically. But! My task is to convey to you the information that brands like Daniel Klein are fierce game, the cost of which is a maximum of several tens of dollars, and the final sale price can be 20-30 times more expensive.
Take a look at the hype about the Daniel Wellington brand, where it was discovered that the watches were sold with a markup of 1000%.
Accordingly, in such a watch there is no finish or characteristics, the quality corresponds to the watch from aliexpress for those very $ 20. There is also no history.
Michael Kors, Ges, Calvin Klein and other costume jewelry will go to Daniel Klyain and Daniel Wellington.
Somehow I tried to convince a friend that Michael Kors is the same Chinese watch for $20 that is sold on alik. The argument on her part was reinforced concrete: “No, this is not the same watch. The Chinese watch does not say "Michael Kors".
This is probably an indescribable feeling of pride when you are dressed in Calvin Klein shorts and Calvin Klein is also on your arm.
In short, it's better not to buy anything at all than to buy fashion brands that grew up on clothes and shorts, and then decided to earn extra money on related accessories along the way.
The next category is smartwatches.
If the anxiety in life that comes with a ton of gadgets that you've got yourself covered in isn't enough for you, smartwatches are a sure way to boost it.
Smart watches are another information noise that has nothing to do with the world of watches. If classic watches pacify, then, as I said earlier, smart watches only add a portion of anxiety to an already not calm life. In addition, unlike classic watches, smart watches tend to quickly become obsolete and become irrelevant.
In short, smart watches are definitely not about classic watches and I strongly do not recommend them.
And the last category of watches that I strongly discourage are replicas!
Unfortunately, the market for fakes and replicas will always exist! The person is so sharp that he constantly compares himself with someone. Everything is not enough for him, everything he wants more, everything he is not cool enough and status. You can continue for a long time.
Often, the person who buys replicas wants to appear to be someone they are not.
The urgency of the situation lies in the fact that people who wear original luxury watches are different from those who buy copies. Moreover, they will bite the carrier of that very copy at once.
It looks especially funny when Rolex, Ulis Nardin and Patek Philip meet in public transport. What can I say, the guys are probably going through some kind of training. Well, or they decided to nostalgic for the old days, sitting in a trolleybus, accompanied by a car with security.
By the way, this is a real case of my friend.
Of course, I have heard speeches like: "Well, I bought a copy because I like the design."
Real case: A person has about 10 hours, almost all of which are replicas. And he tells me that he likes the design. Who the fuck. There are plenty of affordable, original brands that offer similar designs.
After all, homage is in trend today. And you can buy models that are really visually identical to luxury watches, but with excellent quality, characteristics, and this will be the original. Well, yes, it will not be written on the Rolex dial. It will be conditionally Ocean X or Invicta, but at least you are not deceiving anyone!
