Initially there were 3 colors available. But one, with a dial made of a sea mollusk, is already sold out, and, unfortunately, I won’t be able to show it in this video. But let's look at two other, no less interesting, and more classic colors.
Each Phoibos watch is delivered in a small and high-quality box. Nice, compact, won’t take up much space. I definitely like it.
Once upon a time I was choosing a watch between this model and the Phoibos Voyager. In the end, I chose the latter, since the size of 42 mm seemed too big to me. The updated Wave Master with a case diameter of 39.5 mm is ideal for me, but this model will be an excellent option for people with larger wrists.
Since I said about the sizes, let's start with them.
Diameter - 42 mm, from lug to lug - 48 mm, thickness - 14 mm, weight - 126 grams.
In fact, even on my hand it is 18 cm. The girth of the watch fits well. It has short lugs and a good fit, but I'm speaking based on my feelings about the size of the watch. To me they feel large.
I want to say that this watch is made simply superbly. It is worth mentioning that their price is only 13,300 UAH. Just look at that quality of finish.
316l stainless steel body. Satin. There is a strip of mirror polishing at the junction of the side and top surfaces.
Such quality of finishing is sometimes not found in much more expensive watches. Therefore, in this regard, Phoibos is simply at its best.
Phoibos Wave Master is a professional diving model.
Water protection - 300 meters. The head is screwed down for better sealing. The head is comfortable and well made. It bears the brand logo - an octopus. It's a small thing, but nice.
The bezel is ceramic, 120 clicks counterclockwise. The grip is very comfortable, it rotates clearly and confidently. Clicks are expensive. There are no backlashes.
And of course, for diving needs, and for everyday wear, the watch contains 15 layers of proprietary Swiss Super Luminova, which accumulates energy and glows very brightly and for a long time in the dark.
Phoibos will always please you with an expensive engraving on the back of your watch. Please don't take this for granted. The Japanese and Swiss never smell like this at this price. Not even all microbrands will offer you such goodies at this price.
The watch comes with a high-quality, soft and elastic rubber strap.
And this is not some stock strap that is used in other watches. The strap has a pleasant corrugation on the reverse side so that your hand sweats less. It is branded on all sides with logos.
In this regard, I generally want to praise Foibos for the fact that they did not follow the path of homages, but have been creating only their own watch designs for a long time. It is both more expensive and much more valued in the world of watch fans.
Well, it's time to look at the dial.
The signature wave texture, which seems to hint that the watch with the water world is for YOU.
I really like the applied markers, which give the watch a more modern appearance and overall give a cool dimension to the dial.
The blue lume contrasts wonderfully with the black. The orange seconds hand is harmoniously intertwined.
The minute markings are also marked in orange.
The date is unobtrusively located at 6 o'clock.
The dial is both beautiful and easy to read, so I’ll give it a solid 5+.
And the dial is covered with sapphire crystal with 3 layers of anti-reflective coating.
What do we have on board?
Well, of course, for this price we can expect the good old Seiko NH35A. The power reserve is 42 hours, there is a STOP second, the error according to the passport is 20-40 seconds per day, but in reality it is usually better.
Overall it's a great workhorse.
