Still, I blog at the store. That is, what you see, you can usually buy. On the other hand, I always try to honestly show you the goods, and in principle I try not to take what I do not like. And if I find jambs, then I will definitely show them.
So let's still consider that I am a beginner blogger.
So, Mikhail, this is the name of the person who wrote to me, shared that he had recently purchased a watch from the Farer microbrand, and offered to shoot it on our channel.
I once saw a review of this watch, I remember that they were praised. Therefore, I was very happy with the offer and I am very grateful to Mikhail for the provided watch.

A short history of the Farer brand
The Farer brand, like many microbrands, appeared in 2015. Today it positions itself as a British brand that creates watches in Switzerland.
Reminds me of the story of Christopher Ward.
The Faroe Islands very colorfully describe their mission, their goal.
In a nutshell, and not as poetic as they do, the guys claim that they are in love with their work, and their task is to give out a unique design, chic quality, ensure that quality control is always on top.
Actually, many microbrands follow the same mission. Make it cool and affordable. In our case, of course, I can no longer call the watch super affordable.
For example, this model on the official website costs 880 euros. And many watches have a price of about 1000 euros.
Of course, for such a price tag, you can buy thoroughbred Swiss.
Then why should you pay attention to these hours and do they have a place to be? Let's watch and draw conclusions in the end.
Complete set
Perhaps I'll start with the configuration.
The watch arrived in an oblong textile box with a lock. Feels very pleasant.
Inside, the watch itself is riveted, and in the pockets you will find a booklet with the brand's mission, instructions and history, a high-quality napkin for caring for the case and glass, and a warranty card. The card is very thick. The quality is excellent.
And as a bonus, Mikhail sent me a NATO strap in the color of the Ukrainian flag as a gift.

The strap, by the way, is of excellent quality. Very soft. Excellent fittings. And there are engravings. On one of them "Kava and the world."
Even if viewed from the side, the thread alternates. Blue with yellow. This is very cool.
I have a blueshark custom strap on my Citizens that costs about $30, and I feel it is made even a little worse than this. So given that the Faroe Islands added 3 of these belts, we can say: "Nifiga fit yourself."
Watch quality
Well, now the clock itself.
The model is called Farer Bradfield. Oddly enough, it is dedicated to a woman. Namely, Frances Beatrice Bradfield, who graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1917, breaking all the patterns for women in those years.
Bradfield at the time was one of the first women hired by the Royal Aircraft Factory, where she became an expert on wind tunnels, advocating their role in the development of aviation.
All in all, a woman who has earned the full respect of her male counterparts.
On the official website of the Faroe Islands, of course, every detail and characteristic of the watch is described very poetically. And for that they have a lot of respect. This is called attention to detail, when many Swiss mastodons simply cannot indicate the thickness or caliber of the movement. Often in watches that are 3 times more expensive than these.
I’m a simple guy, there won’t be such poetry, I’ll just convey my feelings from the watch.
In general, I have already managed to wear them a little on my arm and I want to say that this is an amazing watch. And that's why I think so.
Perfect Size
First, the size.
39.5 mm diameter, 45 mm lug to lug, 42.5 mm stud to stud, 11.5 mm thick, 12.5 mm thick including domed sapphire crystal).
Have you ever seen a manufacturer describe all sizes in such detail? I was pleasantly surprised.
Okay, no weight. 92 grams. I had to weigh myself.
So, on my hand 18 cm in girth, this watch sits like a native. And the body is small, and the ears are short. In short, they sat down as if they were doing it perfectly for me.
Case quality
The case itself is pleasantly weighty in the hands. Made from 316L stainless steel. The site even indicated where and how it was polished, from which I was again pleasantly surprised.
In fact, we have a mirror finish on the sides and on the case back, plus a satin finish on the welt and on the top of the lugs.
And the quality of the finishes here is top notch.
In general, a very concise and pleasant form of the case, which perfectly emphasizes the aviator style of the watch. Large and comfortable head with a comfortable grip and a bronze insert. Again, the site indicated a head size of 6 mm. Damn, this is really cool.
The very attitude of the brand evokes pleasant emotions in me.
Strap quality and custom options
The watch is paired with a beautiful genuine leather strap. Strap with quick change system.
Its quality is superb. As well as the quality of the clasp with the combination finish.
Plus, on the official website, you can choose a strap with a different type of leather, a different color, and even a mesh bracelet. There are a lot of options, so you can transform your watch right on the spot when ordering.
Moreover, you can even make your own engraving on the back of the watch.
Clock face
When I look at the clock, I often get the impression that there is no glass here. This is an expensive and pleasant effect. No dial distortion.
But the dial itself is something incredible.
Its main part, I would say, is ivory. A very soft and pleasant color, which in the center is abruptly replaced by a light green ring, slightly recessed deep into the minute markings.
In fact, this light green ring, like the hour markers, just shines like a torch in the dark.
Watch marks are overhead and look unrealistically voluminous. And note that their core is green, and the edging is light green, and this gives even more volume.
But the hands, on the contrary, are wedge-shaped with a yellow core and black edging. This gives excellent contrast and great readability.
The seconds hand is simply silver with a black, arrow-shaped tip.
Please note that the length of each arrow is ideally suited to the division for which it is intended.
I would say that everything is thought out to the smallest detail and this is just a gorgeous dial.

Antimagnetic protection
On the back of the watch, we see a pronounced antimagnetic inscription. That is, we have a watch with anti-magnetic properties, which is very important for pilots, and in general for the accuracy of the watch, since now you can magnetize the watch with anything: a phone, a laptop and other gadgets.
Mechanism
The movement itself is a time-tested workhorse Sellita SW200 on 26 jewels, with a power reserve of 38 hours, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
There is no particular comment here. It really is a real workhorse.
Other characteristics
Actually, from other characteristics, I did not name only water resistance of 50 meters, which is the norm for watches in aviation style.
Results
Friends, what can I tell you in the end.
880 euros.
Are they worth their money? I feel like they cost more.
I saw a wonderful design, a very comfortable and ergonomic case with excellent quality finishes, a simple dial worked out to the smallest detail, a cool quality strap.
All this is wrapped in a nice wrapper, every detail is described, it is possible to pick up a bunch of straps, make an engraving. The feeling that you are being courted from all sides.
This attitude of the brand to its watches makes me respect, and the watch itself a lot of pleasant emotions. But for the sake of emotions, we buy watches.
Of course, there will always be people who will say that for this money you can take a mass market branded watch. I won't dissuade you. Take it.
But there will be those who want to try something new, stand out from the crowd. This watch will definitely set you apart. These are models that are made in small batches. With love and care. And you definitely will not meet them on the hand of every passer-by.
Therefore, I personally recommend it, I hope that I will have the opportunity to get acquainted with other watches of the brand.
