Tag Heuer Aquaracer and Rado Captain Cook Women's Premium Watches

Friends, hello everyone. You are on the channel about Feeltime watches and today I will show you two models of women's Swiss watches in the premium segment at once. These are Rado Captain Cook and Tag Heuer Aquarecer.

I have a feeling that I will most likely shoot a review for the male half of the channel. Usually it is men who buy such watches for their ladies.  

This is a topic that can be discussed. Firstly, men usually understand the value of certain brands, models better and do not choose according to the “glitter-sparkle” principle (although there are, of course, such ones).  

But women, on the contrary, are more likely to start from the “glitters-sparkles” criterion and often do not understand that the same Michael Kors or Guess that they buy for space money do not carry any value.

So yes, I think this review is more for men. But of course it would be interesting to read in the comments and the opinion of women on this matter.

Let's start with Tag Heuer and its packaging. This is a classic box of the brand.

I have said many times that I like her very much. Compact, slick, comfortable. Feels expensive.

There is an international warranty card and an instruction booklet. In my Feeltime store, you buy only original Tag Heuer watches with a 2-year warranty from a distributor in Ukraine.  

This model has 3 versions in Ukraine. On the review, I have the most affordable . Then there is a version with diamonds on the watch marks , and the most expensive on the mechanics and with diamonds on the marks .  

We look at our clock.

Firstly, the style of watches from the Aquaracer collection is immediately recognizable. This is already a plus. You pay money for this, since creating your own, recognizable design is not a cheap story.  

The model is quite small. I propose to immediately go through its dimensions .

Case diameter - 30 mm, ear to ear - 37 mm, thickness 10.7 mm, weight - 96 grams.  

Small, but heavy enough. Part of the bracelet will come off when you adjust it to your wrist, and this will reduce the weight a bit.  

The case and bracelet are made of stainless steel. On the body, the finish is mostly satin. There is mirror polishing on the transitions of the side and top surfaces, on the crown and on the side of the bezel.  

All this is now used by almost all brands, since such a combination gives more volume.  

The head is large and comfortable. Unlike the head on the Rado. Watch the review to the end, I'll show you what's what.  

The head has elegant protective flows.  

Stainless steel bezel . 60 clicks. The grip is comfortable. The only thing is that there is a small backlash. Knowing the Tag Heuer brand, you are not surprised at such joints. It doesn't annoy me.  

There is a very nice star engraving on the back of the watch. These are the buns that make me very happy.  

The bracelet is of decent quality. Combines satin finish on the side links and mirror polished on the central links.

I also liked the flapper clasp. It is fully molded both inside and out. There are 3 holes to adjust the length. This is convenient when, for example, it is hot in summer, the hand swells a little and you need to enlarge the bracelet.

By the dial and the second hand we can see that it is quartz. At the same time, the caliber is not indicated on the official website, but I suspect that there is an inexpensive Swiss Ronda.

From the point of view of practicality for a girl, this is certainly good. No need to wind the watch and do various manipulations.  

The dial is expensive, turquoise color with the effect of the sun's rays.  

It itself is quite small, so we tried not to pile it up.

The hour markers are overhead and create a pleasant volume.  

The second hand, by the way, does not fall perfectly into divisions. Here I want to say that for such a price they could at least calibrate. But Tag Hoer is in his repertoire.  

In general, the dial is nice.  

All this beauty is covered by a sapphire crystal with anti-glare, and the water resistance is 200 meters. You can not only swim in the watch, but also scuba dive.  

Rado Captain Cook R32500013

Let's watch our Rado Captain Cook. And let's start with the box.

Here we have the classic white packaging. But inside you will find the most delicious. This is truly a premium watch carrying case. Really cool and well made case.  

Also in such a folder you will find a napkin for the care of the glass and the case, and all the documentation on which the serial number must match the serial number on the back of the watch.  

As far as I know, this is generally the first women's watch from the cult Captain Cook series.

And 2 versions came to Ukraine. One with a bracelet like in my review, and one with a mesh bracelet.  

Like Tag Hoer Aquaracer, this watch has its own recognizable face. Perhaps it is worth noting that they visually do not differ at all from men's. Only in size.  

The case diameter is 37 mm, lug to lug 43 mm, thickness 11.1 mm, weight 108 grams. Let me remind you that the weight will go away a little when you adjust the watch to fit your hand.  

I want to make a reservation that this is not a diver's watch, when we are used to the fact that all men's "Captain Cook" are diving, in which the water resistance starts from 200 meters, but usually it is all 300 meters.

In our case, the watch has a water resistance of 100 meters. You can just swim in them. And the head is not screwed.

The head of this watch is, of course, a real nightmare. I can barely turn it. Not because she is tight or with some kind of marriage. It's just too small, and partially hidden under the bezel.

Therefore, if you rarely wear a watch and you need to wind it up, this is not the most pleasant thing.  

On the other hand, if you wear your watch often, then no problem. The watch is equipped with its own caliber , which operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a power reserve of 80 hours. This is enough to manually wind the watch rarely.  

The body is completely mirror polished. The finish quality is quite good.

Ceramic bezel (scratch resistant), 120 clicks counterclockwise. It rotates confidently, there are no backlashes, only the edges are cut a little. It could have been better.  

Bracelet in the so-called "rice grain" style. Looks expensive and solid. The processing quality is top notch.  

Clasp clasp. Just as pleasant. Fully cast.  

The case back of the watch is engraved like Tag Heuer's.  

Well, let's of course look at the dial.

First of all, I want to immediately note the convex, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, which creates a more voluminous feeling of the dial.  

The curved dial plate in silver color also adds to the volume.

Overhead watch marks. At the top, there is the signature anchor of the collection. Let me remind you that it rotates when moving, and if this does not happen, then you should understand that something is wrong with the mechanism and it's time to visit the master.  

The brutal, hour hand with a huge triangle on the tip stands out separately.  

The date is located at 3 o'clock and is almost invisible.  

And of course, the Swiss Super Luminova on the hands and hour markers.

Let's go for the results

The most inexpensive Tag Heuer "Aquaracer" that we have on the review on quartz and without diamonds on the tags have a price   UAH 84590, which is equivalent to $2250 at the exchange rate.

Rado Captain Cook is more expensive. 97020 UAH, which is equivalent to $2550.

In fact, these are completely different watches.

The Aquaracer can be safely taken as a tool, given their water resistance of 200 meters. Captain Cook, despite belonging to the diving collection, does not have real diving characteristics.  

At the same time, of course, it should be understood that these two models are not actually designed for diving. They will simply become a wonderful companion with almost any style of clothing.  

Aquareiser noticeably smaller. Only 30 mm versus 37 mm for Rado. Quartz watercolor, which is essentially much cheaper than the Kapinan Cook mechanism. But here again it is worth understanding that quartz is usually better for a girl to some extent. This is us, men are more on the mechanics. Especially for this price.  

Of course, I would like to add that Tag Heuer, as always, bends a little with the price. It's just that the brand is loud and can afford it. Rados are more loyal and adequate in this regard.
