What are microbrands?
In the 21st century, many microbrands have appeared on the watch market. What are they and should they be trusted? First of all, it is necessary to distinguish between dubious companies and small young firms specializing in limited editions of truly high-quality and often original watches. The latter are microbrands. As a rule, their creators have two goals: to make much better and noticeably higher quality than the Swiss and Japanese in the budget segment, and to create something unique.
Depending on the price, microbrands can be divided into two groups: inexpensive (up to $500) and expensive (from $700 to several thousand dollars). Both are not inferior in quality and characteristics to Japanese and Swiss analogues. But expensive microbrands often offer something exclusive and non-standard, often these are hand-made elements.
