This Certina watch from the DS Action collection really stands out from the entire model range of the brand. And the first thing that catches your eye is their strap. This is a very pleasant nylon in khaki color, which is lived on the inside with genuine leather.
The quality is really fire, plus there is a cool and comfortable “Butterfly” clasp, which is conveniently rearranged to fit your wrist through these holes. Here such a leather plate is specially sewn to match the color of the strap. Well, by the way, with the line it could still be a little more accurate. I'm talking about this line.
That is, in general, we have such a militarized Sertina watch in a combination of black and green. And I really like how it all fits together. You look at them and you really feel that “expensive-rich”.
The case is made of stainless steel with black PVD coating. Satin finish is diluted with mirror-polished inserts at the junction of the side and upper surfaces of the case, on the welt and crown. All this adds volume and high cost to the appearance of the watch.
In terms of finishing, Sertina, as always, is on top.
And yes, the clock is quite large, so let's take a look at their dimensions. Case diameter - 43 mm, Ear to ear - 51 mm, Thickness - 13 mm, Strap width - 20 mm. And the weight of the watch is 121 grams.

Right away, let's put the watch on my hand. I have 18 cm in girth. And the size of the ears is clearly felt. That is, a little less wrist and the watch will be too big. Therefore, do not immediately lead to their diameter of 43 mm. The length of the ears is more important here.
Well, in general, of course, they look just nuclear.
You probably already noticed that there are 4 hands here and one of them is just responsible for the GMT function, that is, it shows the second time zone, for which the 24-hour scale is separately displayed around the circumference of the dial.
Clock setting
By the way, this business is not very convenient and not very intuitive to set up, so let me show you how it's done.
First, pull the crown out to the extreme 2nd position. After that, we set the second GMT hour hand at the right time (let's say at 6 pm), as well as the minute hand to the position we need. Let's say 35 minutes.
After that, we snap the crown and pull it out again already in the 1st position. In this position, the minute hand is fixed and by rotating the main hour hand, we first set the date, and then the main time.
We snap the head, screw it in and, in general, it's ready!
I want to say that this is certainly not very convenient. I have seen simpler Ronda quartz calibers, where in the first position of the head, turning it in one direction changes the date, and the GMT hand changes in the other.
But it should be borne in mind that this is still a mechanic and everything is a little more complicated here.
Watch mechanism
And a few words about the mechanism. This is the Swiss caliber POWERMATIC 80.661, which is essentially a modernized version of the classic ETA2824. It goes without saying that a huge plus of this mechanism is its powerful power reserve of 80 hours.
And through the back of the watch, we can see his work and the custom Certina pendulum, which of course is nice.
Other characteristics
As for the rest of the functions, there is a sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-glare, serious water resistance at 200 meters and Swiss Super Luminova on the hands and hour markers, which, by the way, shines sooo so so.

And the dial of this watch is a real feast for the eyes. Firstly, at some viewing angles, the effect of the absence of glass is created. It looks cool. Secondly, of course, I note the combination of black and green. Well, it turned out sooo harmoniously. I’ll say that even though the lum glows and is bad, the marks are made simply gorgeous. Handling quality is also top notch.
In short, what can I say, the dial is really cool and looks expensive.
Results
The price of this model in Ukrainian stores today is 35930 UAH. I don’t just say the phrase “for today”, because with this fucking dollar exchange rate, the price for 3 months of the war jumped very noticeably.
So let's fix the price at $1,000.
Are these watches worth the money? Undoubtedly! And if I can usually find fault with Swiss bracelets for this money, then everything in this watch is on top. Damn, okay, I forgot that this stripe is a little crookedly stitched.
But in general, the quality of the watch is worth the money. These are Swiss and you should understand that you are somewhat overpaying for the brand. But it is in this model that they do not get impudent.
