Friends, hello everyone. You are on the channel about Feeltime watches, Stanislav is with you as always, and today in the review we will have a premium novelty from the Spinnaker microbrand from the Boettger collection.
The Botger series today includes some of the most expensive models of the Spinnaker brand. And our task today will be to figure out why these watches cost so much, and whether it is adequate for a microbrand.
The first release from the Botger collection was in 2021. At that time, there were 3 color versions, each of which was released in a limited edition of 500 watches in the world and was delivered in a branded, waterproof Spinnaker box.
The novelty of mid-2022 is still completed in a rich way. This is a bright orange, again waterproof case, in which you will find the watch itself, an additional premium quality rubber strap, a tool for replacing the strap and documents in which you will find that this model is also produced in a limited edition of 600 pieces in the world on one color.
2 color options arrived at our Feeltime store. This is a bright orange dial with a matching strap, and a version with a white dial and white rubber strap.

Design
Examining the watch case, I understand that the changes affected only the colors of the bezel and dial.
But, almost 2 years after getting acquainted with the first model of the collection, I understand how cool this case is made.
It has a satin finish on the sides, and thin stripes of mirror polish on the top and bottom, which add a nice volume.
The curvature of the case itself is quite complex. The crown is located in the lower right corner. It looks aesthetically pleasing and very comfortable. There are protective overlays.
The bezel has a black IP coating. The sides are ribbed and the grip is very comfortable. The move is confident, the clicks are clear. I don't feel any backlash here.
The back cover, although with a simple engraving, is well executed. It is screwed into the body with screws.
I like that the circle itself rises above the main surface, and the lid itself is slightly smaller in size in terms of the length of the body. This creates visual steps and volume. Thus, a seemingly simple element looks expensive. I would say that in terms of design, everything is very well thought out.
Dimensions
As for the dimensions, the case diameter is 42 mm, lug to lug is 42.5 mm, thickness is 12.5 mm, weight is 207 grams.
Despite the fact that the lugs are short, the watch feels quite massive. They look good on my 18 cm hand, but I feel better on a larger hand.
Bracelet and strap
Excellent quality bracelet. Attachment to the body is super secure. No backlash, only expensive rustle.
It is attached to the case itself with screws, which is very good and eliminates the lack of a quick replacement system.
The width starts from 25 mm at the case and reaches 19 mm at the buckle.
The clasp itself is double-locked. Cast inside, stamped outside. Very comfortable, looks good and is well made.
The straps that come with the kit absolutely do not differ in quality from those that were by default on the first Botger models. Back then, I emphasized how soft, elastic they are, and that in order to understand their level, it’s just enough to hold ordinary rubber in your hands, and then try this one.
Made cool. Without exaggeration.
Clock face
On the dials, the changes again affected only the colors. I want to note right away that the chip of the previous generation was retained - it's supposedly glued to the glass and hovering over the dial of the clock marks.
In fact, the labels are attached to the side plate, but visually it really seems that they are glued to the glass. In any case, I first saw such an effect in this model, and it looks really cool.
The dial itself is deeply seated, and this gives it a good volume and tri-dash effect. The red and black elements contrast nicely with the white. Readability is great here. Plus, on the hands and markers, the Swiss Super Luminova, which shines brightly in the dark.
And of course the bright orange version. There is a contrast of white, black, blue. The colors are well matched in my opinion.
Color of course for an amateur. Personally, I really like it.
Characteristics. Mechanism
In terms of characteristics, nothing has changed in comparison with the previous version of the Botger Spinnaker.
A reliable movement of the initial expensive segment from the Japanese Citizen with the Miyota 9015 caliber is installed on board. This movement has a power reserve of 42 hours and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
An anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the dial and is water resistant to 300 meters. Everything is the same as in the previous model.
Results
The results will be as follows. Today, the price of this watch in our Feeltime store is UAH 28,290, which is equivalent to $690.
The model is slightly more expensive than its predecessor. More expensive just due to the fact that the package was expanded to a bracelet on the watch, and a good bracelet has a significant price weight. Plus, in this model, the bracelet is really made cool.
Of course, if you are not familiar with the brand and the concept of "micro-brand", then you may think that it is expensive for a little-known watch, go and buy something more popular for this money.
For my part, I want to say that popular brands for this budget in such a design of the case, dial, bracelet, in such a rich configuration, and with such characteristics, will not offer you anything.
Therefore, here everyone chooses for himself. Buying well-known, but many times easier, or buying a watch from a micro-brand and getting really a lot, but, as they say, without status.
On the other hand, in defense, I will say that with such a watch, on the other hand, you will be to some extent more unique, since you will not find such a watch on every passer-by. Plus, keep in mind that this is a limited model in itself.
